Now guys, this is serious. Friends don't let friends make their weddings all about uggs. It's just not something friends do. Don't let this happen to you or your friends!!!  :'(

I've also taken the liberty of editing gdu's post to more accurately describe uggs. :)

Oh, and banned.

Speaking of weddings and all that jazz, do you guys have a tradition of bride or groom kidnapping during the wedding party? Just curious.

Can't speak if it's a local tradition, but they did it at my sisters wedding. Suddenly the bestman and his entourage ran through the dining hall looking like drunken superheroes screaming "this is a robbery!!" and then they took the laughing bride away. A bit later a set of demands is delivered to the groom. I've heard that it's usually something embarrasing, but this time they only wanted the groom to sing a song by Somerjoki in front of the guests. Which he screwed up by only reading it. Apparently it was egood nough and in the end the bride is returned and applauds follow.

Yeah, that sounds like a cultural thing.  Although, if my bride and her bridesmaids were wearing Uggs, I would hire someone to kidnap them all just so I wouldn't have to go through with the wedding.  Uggs are tacky.  Uggs at a wedding?  Well that's just unforgivable.

I have little need for boots and uggs because I live in a warm sunny place, I mostly wear flipflops or thin slippers, or sandals. some of the nice sandals hurt my feet if I wear them for a long time. My feet get sweaty and hot being stuffed into socks and sneakers or tennis shoes for a while. But when walking or exercizing, depends on what kind of exercize, I usually wear sneakers or tennis shoes. WHy would a bride want to wear uggs? I think a bride would want to wear nice shoes that match her dress. I have a fantasy of a Reniassance wedding or Cinderella themed wedding at Disney world, Cinderella's castle in Orlando, probably won't be able to afford it, if I ever do get married I will probably have a cheap budget wedding.

Is the ruin Tintern Abbey? I think if it's not, then you've done something wrong... here, pick a ruin from this list of Cistercian Abbeys. They did good work.
