;D Perhaps its a bit far fetched with the apparent Tales of Daventry coming out from Tell Tale however I absolutly love this gaming series :( and Id sure hate to see it be the only 1. Therefore I petition for a second installment!, whenever the development crew feels comfortable with starting it :). Even if it comes out by the time I've have kids It would still be a pleasure to introduce them to it.

Unfortunately, there won't be a second installment. Our agreement with Activision only permits us to make this game, no others. As much as we'd like to do another installment in the TSL world, we can't. Instead, we'll be moving on to commercial endeavors, with our first game out the door being Cognition. Feel free to get more information about it from our Kickstarter page! But, on the bright side, there's one more episode of TSL yet to come, and I can say that it will be absolutely fantastic. We'll be using a whole new engine, so it'll run better and overall be an improvement. I can't divulge anymore details about Episode 5 at the moment, but you can always enjoy Episode 4 in the interim!

Not to come off as a pessimistic jerk, but I highly doubt a sequel to this fan fiction series would occur. Phoenix have already said that they want to move on after this project ends. I commend their decision. Otherwise, they would turn into a gimmick team that is only known for making reboots (no offense to Tell Tale). Also, if there was a decent following for more King's Quest games, I doubt Activision would continue to provide free gimmes to the public. They would capitalize on the fact that they hold the licenses for the series. Just my $0.02.

You are correct, Fierce Deity. We've already poured our heart soul into this project for the past 10 or so years, and after Episode 5 we want to move on to something different. Luckily, we seem to have a very bright future, what with having a collaboration with Jane Jensen and all! I don't think many Indie studios can say that. We started out as a group of fans making a fan game to a series we loved. Now we're going commercial and partnering with one of the most influential and talented people in the Adventure Genre. Plus, our own team is comprised of extremely talented individuals. TSL is what got us all started, and we'll never forget that, but we have to move on eventually.

As they said, we won't be doing another freeware game, which would include a "TSL 2." And the King's Quest license is currently in Telltale's hands as far as commercial games go. Our sights in a post-TSL world are turning to other IPs--the next one up will be Cognition. :) (If you couldn't tell by looking around!)

But, thank you very much for your enthusiastic support, erenoth! I'm thrilled to hear you like the game that much, it really means a lot to us. :)

Hello,
Wait, Rewind. What Tales of Daventry by TellTale???

My only real concern is whether or not there will be some sort of hint of a silver lining for our king graham here at the end of episode 5.

Other than that, having seen what you can do, and what's heppning now, I will sincerely cheer on  efforts at a commercial game- may you succeed for from what I can see you clearly have a lot of talent and devotion  (playing form first episode, well I have by now reached the point of ep 4, though i hjad a WHOLE lot of frustration with ep 3 carriage scene, but it was fantastic anyway) and I truly love what I see and my heart is breaking for my beloved characters. That;s why I'm wondering whether or not some sort of silver lining will round up episode 5 or whether it will be left open-ended with a cliffhanger (although that would be terrible), since there is apparently material for a never-to-be part 2. If you have the story for the never to be continuation written, will you be perhaps releasing that?

Thank you- just a curiosuty of someone who simetimes likes to peek at the end of books because she can't take the tensions in peace :D  And these tensions here are killing me- such depths as the original series never really had...it;s amazing. Thank you...

God bless and all best.

Apparently Tell Tale games is considering a series based on Kings quest called Tales of Daventery, according to Game informer, however since the article I haven't heard anything new :(

MusicallyInspired

Sounds like rumour. Also sounds like a play on how Telltale made Tales of Monkey Island from Monkey Island. I wouldn't count on that being the name.

Rosella

Yeah, no one has ever called it Tales of Daventry. Telltale HAS said that they plan on making it, but hasn't given much information since then. This is the last information we've gotten about it.
