I tried installing EP 4.  Would not work.  Then I installed the whole game.  Used my old save games to play to the end of Episode 3.  At that point, after showing the scroll, the crown comes up and the computer freezes.  I cannot get to EP. 4    I use XP Pro, AMD 750 Radeon with 1GB.  Really tired of this.

I cannot choose Ep.4.  There is no option to do that.  After the the last line is drawn on the scroll, Graham puts it tin his pocket, walks forward, out of the screen then I get a crown on the screen which eventually after 2 min turns to an error window saying TSL must close.  We are sorry.   

Guys this is not a way to release a game.  I am upset and disappointed.  I have downloaded and reloaded several times.  I cannot get past t he error message.  There is no Episode choice menu.  Did anyone go through this game before releasing it.  I'm 65 and been playing since 1981.  This is by far the worst release i have encountered.

Wait - there's no selection menu? When you launch the game, you should have a menu with one of the options being Play. If you click Play, you should get a list of the episodes. All of them should be selectable except Ep5. If that's not what you're seeing, then something is very wrong with your installation.

I got Ep 4's first video to come up without audio by selecting EP.4 from the menu as you suggested.  Thank you!!!!  Now, to figure out why no audio.  Audio works fine with everything else.  Will let u know.  Thank u for getting me this far.

If you're running Windows 7 you might want to try installing the Windows 7 Audio patch from this page:

I have the same problem.  I'd like to see the cut scene at the end of Ep 3, but once I get the moon from the blacksmith, that's the end of the game for me.  How can I see the ending of Ep 3.

I also can't view the ending cut scene of Episode 3 with Episode 4 installed; the game freezes during the scene transition after getting the silver moon (both with the patch install and the full install; I had to switch to the latter since my C drive ran out of space during patching and that seemed to corrupt the game; the main menu still thought it didn't have episode 4).

That is, I can't see the Episode 3 ending when I use a save from a previous run-through.  I went back to get the baby suffer, which I missed the first time, but I used a save right before the point where I couldn't get it anymore.  Upon a few failures, I gave up only to notice you couldn't "continue" the game any more.  So I can't keep all of the 's in my inventory through all the episodes. 

Oh well, I understand that feature caused some issues anyway.

i am having a similar problem.i installed the build for ep1-3 and then the patch foe episode 4.when i replayed episode 3,it worked fine until we got the moon.after getting the moon,graham takes out the inventory and the moon is crossed out and cassima is shown .after that,graham exits from the scene and the game crashes.i run windows 7.

Try just going to straight to running Episode 4 and see if you encounter any problems there - if you do then it may be an issue with the patch itself and you might need to try removing TSL from your computer completely and installing the four-episode installer instead.  If you don't see any problems with Episode 4 then you can just play through normally.

Same issue with 4 episode complete build. Windows 7 patch does not help. Appreciated the episode and thought the game was fun but it kind of sucks to get through it all and not be able to see the ending...and I don't really want to watch the youtube video when some guy is narrating his way through the whole thing.

Are you able to save and load games without any problems?

I'm having the same issue as well. I can load directly into Episode 4 just fine, but when I try to rewatch the ending of EP3 the screen goes black for a minute or two then I get a error message and the game crashes. I'm currently running WinXP so I don't think the Win 7 Patch would help in any way.

Yeah I'm not sure exactly what could be causing this crash at the end of Episode 3 for some people, I recommend just jumping straight into Episode 4 and playing from there.

This worries me more than slightly given that I haven't actually finished episode 3, so not being able to see the ending would be kind of horrible.

I suppose the question now is: can anybody play through episode 3 from scratch and successfully view the ending? Everyone here so far (including me) seems to have been getting to the end of episode 3 using old saves. I'm not sure if that would change anything, but it might...

I would try it myself if I had the time, but I won't have any time to do so until after Friday.

I had the same problem finishing episode 3 with the complete version.

So could we get a patch to fix this so we can see the cutscene at the end of episode 3? I viewed it on Youtube but it would much better if we could see it in-game.

I'm not really sure what could be causing this for some people actually - I've run through this part of the game several times both in the full install version and the patch version with no problems, as have many of my testers.  Honestly right now there's not much planned in the way of a patch for TSL as most of us have made the shift to start working on Episode 5 in the new engine already.  I may get some time to do a patch, but until I actually can figure out what's causing this problem in the first place I really don't know what to say.  I will keep looking into it though.

I played Episode 3 starting from the scratch and I got  the same problem at the end (with Ep. 4 full installation).
