My game keeps crashing when the map opens after talking to Shamir. Could someone help fix this or could you please give me a save file for right after talking to him?

I'm using Windows XP, Intel T2400@1.83 GHz, 3.24 GB of RAM, and Legacy sound card (I think, sorry not too savvy here)

I'm attaching my save file as a .txt file for you to check.

Thanks a bunch!

Try visiting http://www.adobe.com and making sure you have the most current downloaded version of both the Flash Player and the Shockwave Player from the bottom-right of their homepage.  See if that helps out here.

Ok, I updated my Flash and Shockwave player...still didn't work.

Here you go! Saved right after closing the map--didn't crash for me.

Since you went through the conversation, the only thing you missed is simply seeing what's on the map:
The map just shows a picture of the druid, since you have all the ingredients and it's time to see him.
Hi!  Love the game,  :D, but when I get to the point where I talk to Shamir, it goes through the conversation, Grahm opens the map, then the game crashes.  Only once did I see the Archdruid on it after several attempts.  I read the above poster about saving right after you exit the map, but I can't even get to that point.

I have:
Windows XP Media Center
3.07 ghz. Pentium 4 Processor
512 MB RAM
Flashplayer 10
ATI Radeon express video chip(not card)

Please help! :'( I'm really loving this game, and I want to finish it!

Try just downloading that saved game that Seir posted above, it's right after the scroll opens there to show the Arch Druid.

Thanks,  I got that to work,  although the game keeps pausing video.  I even got to Shadrac's attack on the boat, then my game crashed.  Is any of this a bug?  Or do I just upgrading or Shockwave?  Possibly because of low RAM?  I'd to see such a beautiful game marred by one defect.  Forgot to mention: I'm running the 1-4 build of the game; all of it runs decently until episode 4.  I plan to burn this onto cd and give it to my nephew.

Yeah try lowering all the graphics settings as low as they'll go and uncheck the fullscreen mode box too, if none of that helps I'd also check your computer manufacturer's website to see if they have newer video drivers for your system.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.  So this is normal for this quality of game.  I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with my lousy RAM. I DID go ahead and install Flashplayer 11.  Would it help use Shock wave as well?    I hate to be a pest; I usually figure these things for myself.  I thought at first these were problems you were planning to address with the next release.  BTW, CAN'T WAIT FOR EPISODE 5! :suffer: :)

Yeah a lot of this is just that the engine we've been using has some fairly high requirements for systems to play the games - higher really than we need for what we're doing.  I can say that Episode 5 will be much more stable and forgiving in the system requirements department.

That's good news!  In the meantimeI have 512 mb RAM.  I think I can expand it another Gigabyte.  Would that be enough?  Until ep. 4 the video is pretty fluid, although it takes a while for scenes to load.  And things slow down when there's a lot of movement, like the marketplace and artisan's boulevard.  I'm really hoping to give this to my nephew when I visit for Xmas; he can't download it and I don't want him to have as hard a time playing it.  He's a real computer nut.
