Idea for part 5...
« on: November 10, 2011, 09:35:03 AM »
I think there should be a fight with the Boogeyman... Rosella DID have a LOT of trouble with that blue bugger, and he seemed to get off Scott-free....

Right now, I'm assuming that this episode will be much like the final episode for KQ7--shorter than average, but fast-paced with a lot of action.  And given that it'll apparently have a better engine than the one TSL has been using, the action probably won't be as clunky as it has been thus far.  It has been said that the element-controlling amulet Graham receives during his fight with Shadrack will be the centerpiece of episode 5's puzzles, so let's bring on the Last Airbender homages!

...or not...

Also, regarding the Boogeyman, don't forget that at the end of the first episode, we saw a brief cutscene that showed Alexander and Rosella in their respective "dreamworlds," foreshadowing future events.  We saw the silhouette of the three-headed dragon approaching Alexander from behind (though it didn't actually appear until the episode 4 finale cutscene), and some unseen entity was heard roaring at Rosella.  It's possible that this could be the Boogeyman, even if--according to episode 4--he didn't really appear in that specific dream.

Also, doesn't putting the Boogeyman in a nightmare make a LOT of sense?

I vote for lots of Alexander and Rosella - feels like 4 chapters have been spent talking about what they're like, with no showing...

Hell, yes!

Though I think a 3D Boogeyman in TSL would look totally silly  :P
And even if they don't put in a fight with him I would at least want a random boogeyman death for waiting too long standing/walking in rosellas nightmares :D

It would be pretty funny if it happened like it did in KQ7, where the Boogeyman literally drops out of the sky on your head.  That was what freaked a lot of people out when they saw him.  Well, that, and the fact that when you tried to move off-screen to escape, your character just kind of moseys over to the screen edge instead of running like any sane person would.

Maybe there should be Giant Suffer and signal for us to construct in the next episode!

Edit:
Nevermind. I just found out about the Voodoo Suffer. *Trippy*

That is sort of entirely unlike the Boogeyman. In fact that is what made him sort of more scary was the fact that he didn't actually do much except a laugh and saying "Gotchya".

He is scary but he was never really a personal enemy of Rosella. Lolote and Melicia both outright opposed her.
