Help with the horn

I'm trying to get this horn and I already looked at the other hints about it, but I'm afraid I'm in a deadlock, because

the guy who seems to be supposed to help me is already busy with another request of mine.

Do I have other things to do? I have:

the ebony rose (not stained yet), gave the brush away obviously, and that's about it

You're going to have to wait until the artist is done with your 1st request then he should do the 2nd one with out any problems. After that you should be able to the puzzle involving the horn  You could do something with the white rose that you picked up to do something with the Ebony rose. Look at the list  of spell ingredients for another hint.
