...Wow. I'm starstruck just reading this. Experiencing it must have been a dream.

I guess it just goes to show if you work hard you get what you deserve.

I'm jealous beyond words though. XD

I imagine Al Lowe giving Cez a giant wedgie, and Ken Williams laughing and saying, "That's what you get for messing with my flagship series!  BAM!!"

hahaha...What?  That's not what actually happened?!?

Oh well.  I'll always have the mental image...

WOW  ;D :o Flipping awesome Cesar :) I'm floored reading about it. It sounds like you had a great time with both of them. I doubt any birthday will top this one!

Given how much Ken and Roberta messed around with the series (what other explanation could there be for KQ7 and MoE?), they probably consider the TSL staff to be family.  And remember, it could be worse.  We could have gotten the actual King's Quest 9 back in 2002, in which Graham...

Really, at this point, I don't even know what to say.  You guys seriously keep pulling off miracles. Maybe next time in town you will meet Roberta Williams.  Cez, you mentioned that you worked on a Ken Williams project in 2004, was it a game?

Seriously, this whole thing here has come such a long way... Truly miracle. I'm really not fully comprehending your post.  It's like your a celebrity or something!

That's got to be one of the best Birthdays ever for you. To meet your idols and now possibly mentors, that's just unreal. Did you feel like it was a dream at first? :P

I met with Ken again today. Still no Roberta, but he told me I'll surely be meeting her soon. They are leaving tomorrow on their boat so they both had 10 thousand things to do. So glad he gave me another hour of his time.

Talking with Ken is a pleasure. He can give you ten thousand ideas in 20 seconds. Such a brilliant guy.

Nice!  I always wanted to go to Sierra when I was a kid, and meet the staff - including the Williams!  That's cool that you got to meet him and Al Lowe.  Eriq's shared a few stories with me about his childhood trips to Sierra, and heh - to me, that would be like living the dream!

I think it's really cool to have met with him and talked to him, especially now that you are striking out as a producer of commercial games.  I have no doubt you guys will do something very great for adventure games in the future.

Not quite the phrasing I would have used... :P

Hah, didn't think of it like that.  "Striking out on your own...." was the idiom I was thinking of!  I wouldn't call raising over 30,000K just to kickstart a new title striking out.  Raising that kind of money is no joke.
