MSPaint Telephone Game

Do you remember the Telephone game when you were a kid? You'd sit in a circle and your teacher would whisper a sentence into a kid's ear. The kid would turn to the next person in the circle and repeat the sentence to the best of his or her ability, and then the next kid would repeat it to the next person, and so on. When the last kid would finish, s/he would say the sentence that was just said to them out loud. Inevitably, the sentence the teacher said would never be the same as what the last kid said. It was a game you used to teach kids about not spreading rumors.

You can actually play this game on a forum too for results that have had me in laughing fits for days.

The basic concept of this game is that you have a list of players who alternate between one of two things: drawing a picture or writing 12-word descriptions.

In practice, the game works by a game host first making a signup thread (this will be the signup thread for this game and I'll host it). Players who want to play say so in the signup thread and I'll add them to the list. When the game begins, I will find some sort of picture on the internet and send a private message to the first person on the list. That person will need to describe the picture in 12 words or less and private message that description to the next player, who draws an image based on that 12-word description. The player who receives that image sends a 12-word description to the next person, and so on. You can draw your pictures any way you want, including some freehand in MSPaint or other free drawing application.

When you send your picture or description to the next person on the list, make sure to CC the host (me) in your private message. At the end when everyone's done their part, I will make a separate "reveal" thread that will show all of the images and descriptions that led up to the final product.

Okay so here's what we got in this game. I started the game with this image of adventurers:



tessspoon saw this image and saw this in the image:

"Four famous sierra characters walk across Abbey Road."

Haids1987 drew just that, though Laura Bow becomes a replacement!
