Yes, he could be grouped with the green dragons, but Trogdor is in a class of his own.

Actually, you're right. It was a green one. Just looked up a video about it. Logging in to fix it.

And in regards to Trogdor, our previous fourteen Scholars of the Scale attempted to further research the Burninator for deeper classification purposes, but were never heard from again. We will keep you updated on our research in that field.
