And it's not like I'm doing much better due to family problems...

- Expanding my Sierra Lore by watching a Lets Play of Police Quest 1 by Dilandau 3000. Actually, I'm considering subscribing to him, because, like Enchantermon and Chuggaaconroy he's informative, and funny at times as well.

KatieHal

I've enjoyed some of his LPs as well. :) I watched his SQ ones and The Longest Journey: Dreamfall.

Okay, at least you have an excuse Delling. What about you, Sir Cray? Heck, I'm kinda surprised Katie hasn't replied on it yet, as she was the one who encouraged me to actually get started on the story in the first place.

-Watching more of Dilandau's stuff, now on Police Quest 3 more than half way through. Poor Sonny... like Graham, he never seems to catch a break when it comes to having fate screw with him every which way. uch i the fate of a Sierra Hero, I suppose.

Katie would love to and still encourages the writing, but alas, has only so much time in the day right now and pretty much all of it is spoken for! :(

Ah, I see. Why are you talking in third person?

-Still watching Dilandau.

-Is slightly annoyed at a Youtube user who replied to a comment I made on a video. The video was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8DFwIVYn9Q

The conversation went like this:
Me: (This comment has received too many negative votes) [ ?! Is my theory THAT bad?! Color me confused and bummed...]

You know... with these lyrics, I can't help thinking about something. These lyrics could not ONLY be talking of Erana watching over our Hero, but also our lord Jesus Christ watching over us too!

The lines of "You feel alone/ have you been lost" enc sounds like a person without faith, wondering what to do with their life.

"If you wander far/ I'll wait for you" enc sounds like God always being there for you even after you turn your back on Him. And "there is a place" enc sounds like heaven, no?

ThePoaxBase: Sounds gay.

Me: Hmph! How so?

ThePoaxBase: The way you put it its just so damn gay. It's just so strange.

Me: You know, you could have worded that a bit nicer. Just sayin'. And, before you shoot back another insult at me (possibly calling me something like "You're childish!"), remember why we're here: to listen to a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song from a beautiful game, not to have petty squabbling. I do not wish to argue with you, so... just listen, will you?

ThePoaxBase: Yeah, I would just like to point out, that it's not very good to begin with. It was pathetic, Only four year olds and people with poetry deficiency like it. I am here for you, although I can't imagine what you are here for.

Me: Are you talking about the music or my original comment? If it's the latter okay so you don't like it. Just ignore me then and leave me be. If it's the former... then why are you even here then?! I'm here to listen to this song.
Am I overreacting or have I just been beset by an annoying troll? or is my theory just not all that good? If it is, he could have just said "I don't like that theory. It doesn't make sense." instead of calling me something insulting. *sigh*

D'aww Sir Cray, you're so awesome!  :)

- Is happy that her Game Design class FINALLY started today! I had lots of fun!

- Still calming down after To Boldly Flee's finale last night. That was awesome!! I can't wait to discuss it with my friend Caitlyn (if she ever gets into Yahoo! Chat again...) since... well...

Let me explain:
For the past two years we've been working on a series of stories together. Fanfiction, to be exact. Fanfiction based on a series most of you have either never heard of, or if you have, it has been years since you've seen it: The Brave Little Toaster.

To make a long explanation short (too late!), these stories retell the the BLT trilogy... with the characters as humans instead of appliances. But, they aren't ordinary humans, oh no! They, along with about 80%-90% of the population of this alternate Earth, have superpowers.

Although they have these powers, they do not consider themselves superheroes, but just ordinary Joes. When they do use their powers, they try to use them subtly, lest their fears of being persued by the government come true and they'll be hunted down and killed. Interestingly enough, in an alternate universe in story 3, Adventure of Courage, they meet their alternate universe counterparts... who were being hunted by their government because of their powers, who had escaped their universe and had came into the "Journey of Hope" universe and built a settlement on Mars! But, eventually, there was an incident in our "Journey of Hope" universe where they had to make a choice: either reveal their powers to the world and risk being pursued by the government, or die along with the rest of everyone else on this planet due to Lavos attacking their world. They choose the former (with not just our protagonists fighting, but literally EVERY PERSON WHO HAD SUPERPOWERS WHO COULD GET THERE TO THEIR TOWN OF GROUNDLING!) and, intead of being hunted, they are commended and accepted nicely.

Thomas Garrett Oliver (called Tom by his friends and family, named after Deanna Oliver the voice actor for Toaster), being based around Toaster, has the powers of Heat/Fire and helps run a family owned bakery alongside his dad Terence Oliver. In the fifth story, Explorers of Friendship, he is turned into a Flareon. Has a crippling fear of Water since he can't swim all that well.

Lucas Eugene-Flynn Stack (called Luke by friends and family, named after Timothy Stack the voice actor for Lampy and Caitlyn's favorite character!), being based on Lampy has the powers of Light (illumination), Laser Beams (can shoot out of his eyes after being struck by lightning), Lightning (also from lightning incident) and later on Super Speed. Is an electrician, and part-time inventor. Thanks to him, and a couple other brainiacs of the boarding house they live in, they were able to build a working device that can travel through time and different dimensions. In EOF, he gets turned into a Raichu. Is ironically afraid of the dark.

Randall Frederick Lovitz (called Randy by friends and family, except for his new wife Lilly who calls him "Bugger" as an affectionate nickname. Read on to see why. Named after, guess. Jon Lovitz. Seeing a pattern here? My personal favorite character! Which I find ironic, because I'm very mean to him in these stories), being based on Radio has the powers of Soundwaves. Has what we call "a personal little radio tower in his head" which is amplified by his hat (which has a radio dial on it that really works!) and his prosthetic left arm that allows him to hear radiowaves in his head and give directions. Unfortunately he has a terrible sense of direction. If he asks you to make him your navigator, say no. He is a morning radio host, who is always on air at 6 AM sharp to the annoyance of Luke. His adopted son, Jon, is apparently even worse than him! In EOF, is turned into a Kricketune (not only because he has sound powers and Bug types usually have thoe, but also because Randy has a switchblade knife on him and know hoe to ue it. If you look at Kricketune's design, it has scythes instead of hands.) Has a fear of losing his hearing ever since he served in 'Nam for three terrible years before quitting the Army. Has Irish ancestry, and is very proud of it. For 38 years he mourned the loss of his wife, Rosetta, who died in car crash when he was 26 ending a short but wonderful 4 year marriage. It wasn't until he and his friends were sucked into the Pokemon world that he finally let Rosetta go, finding love in a Clefable named Lilly.

Keith Thurl Ravenscroft (called Kirby by friends. Do I even need to explain this one? You oughta know who he's named after!) being based on Kirby has the powers of Wind, and eventually Flight as well. Being part of a barbershop quartet in his teenage years, he has a very good bass singing voice. Unfortunately, the troupe broke up several years ago, and Kirby, not wanting to talk about it, doesn't let his singing voice shine very often. Is a professional carpet cleaner. In EOF, he ends up as a Pidgeot (and, anyone who has watched the anime, know that Pidgeot has a very high pitched voice, and mixed in with Kirby's very deep voice... yeah...)  Has claustrophobia (fear of small tight spaces) and a slight fear of heights.

William Day (called Billy by friends and family. Named after Timothy E. Day, the original voice actor for Blankey) is the youngest member of the original "Groundling Gang" being only 7 when we first meet him, and is Tom's adopted son. Being based on Blankey, he has an unusual power thanks to the yellow blanket he always has with him. How can a piece of cloth be useful you ask? because with that blanket (or pretty much any cloth, but he prefers his "Blankey") he has the power of... Imagination. Even as an adult, he has a very active imagination and is able to morph cloth into anything inanimate he can think of, provided he has it on him which is almost never a problem. Now, you might be asking, "Hey, how can he still have that blanket with him as an adult and not be laughed at?" well, thanks to his powers, he can change its size to make it look like a cape or a hanky or a scarf or anything that makes sense. Is a childrens literature teacher as an adult, since in order to picture things in the books, you have to have imaaaginaaation, right? In EOF, is turned into a shiny Ivysaur (Why? Well, what is cloth usually made from? plant fibers! as for shiny part, it' because he's a blonde). Has a fear of being left alone for long periods of time.

And that's just the original five protagonists! In each story, we keep introducing more and more characters, until I believe by the end of EOF we have over 30 living in the boarding house alone!

We've been working on six in this series-

Journey of Hope (based on original The Brave Little Toaster)

Rescue of Faith (based on second movie)

Adventure of Courage (based on third)

Light of Time. Based around Chrono Trigger, has the descendants of Luke (Timmy Stack, has the power of Lightning. Is that universe' "Crono") and Tom (Deanna, who has Psychic powers and also learns Fire owers which make her daddy very happy! Is that universe' "Lucca") as two of our heroes on a quest to recover their memories and save not only Guardia, but their own home universe as well from a cosmic threat. Considers Chrono Cross noncanon. The Doctor (from the third story who had a much more minor appearance there, has Healing powers and can shoot stuff out of his cybernetic arms. Is that universe' "Robo") from the base on Mars also survives the destruction of Timmy and Deannas universe, ending up in 2300 AD. Alongside The Doctor, is Harvey Wittgenstein (the human counterpart of the supercomputer from the second film, has incredible thinking skills even in his old age and gets Psychic powers when turned into an Alakazam. Is that universe' "Gaspar") who ends up first in 12,000 AD and makes a new life as the Guru of Time. After Lavos is summoned, he gets sent to the End of Time, and since he quite literally has all the time in the world to remember things, he gets his memories of the "JoH" universe back steadily until he recalls everything that happened.

Explorers of Friendship. Based around both Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Time/Darkness, with the elements of Sky either being either mixed in in places or just being put in post-Dialga. Has an altered timeline where the incident in Hoenn with Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza taking place in the fifties, and the incident with Dialga, Palkia and Giratina taking place later with the different regions being destroyed and reformed into the Mystery Dungeon world by the time our heroes are summoned there. The scenes in Emerald are important for one of our characters, Harold, who was sent there as a child long ago. In fact, remember the Grovyle who is your partner in the future? He was Harold's (or "Slick" as his Grovyle called him) Starter Pokemon back then, before they got seperated at the Pokemon League Championship in 1960. Some minor characters such as Teresa (Tom's wife), Lorraine (Luke's wife),  and Theodore (aka TV, an old friend of the boarding houe family)

and lastly, Knights of Lasseteria. Based around TGWTG' two anniversary films Kickassia and Suburban Knights. To Boldly Flee wasn't out at the time obviously, so I'm not sure if we'll do that yet. Takes place in yet another alternate universe, with our heroes being that universe' TGWTG internet reviewers. For example, Tom is The Nostalgia Critic. Randy is Linkara. Luke is Spoony. Billy is Film Brian, with the explanation that for his british accent in his videos is that he's taking college terms there and just tries to pull off a convincing enough accent for his reviews and switches back to his regular voice for vlogs and such. Kirby is Handsome Tom. And so on... this story is combining the plots of Kickassia and the Invasion of Molossia also tying into the map leading to where Malachite's Hand is which is there in Molossia. Terence, this universe' Ma-Ti, is feeling left out and rejected after Tom tells him straight up "No. You can't come with us." and tries everything he can think of in order to get into either group, eventually showing up at the end to stop Malachite (played by Jack, who in the Pokemon universe is a gentlemanly Umbreon who becomes attracted to Deanna who is an Espeon) by dressing up as Luigi and fighting Malachite one on one to Tom's horror. Sadly, just like Ma-Ti, Terence doesn't survive this battle and he dies in his son's arms. Considering what happens in To Boldly Flee, Terence must be pretty miffed at how he was treated by Tom last year.

To Boldy Flee... I'm not sure how we're going to do that one, if we ever get to it. Mostly what concerns me i the last part, with the ending and NCs sacrifice. When Doctor Insano say that they have their own reality with "crazy as the new normal!", I got to thinkin' about how this could work in the "Knights of Lasseteria" universe.

Either, the Plot Hole affects EVERY universe instead of just theirs, and NC/Tom becomes one with the Plot Hole, it becomes like Crisis on Infinite Earths where all the various universes we've introduced so far (the "Journey of Hope" universe, the universe where we first meet our protagonists. The "Ruined World" universe, where the Mars inhabitants came from, which is slowly recovering from the lack of supers and becoming more peaceful every year. The "Millennial" universe, the world of LoT's version of Chrono Trigger. The "Satoshi" universe, which is an alternate timeline version of the Pokemon world. The "Vyce" universe, where everyone is backwards and our protagonists are now villains with the opposite of their original powers. The "Appliances" universe where the films take place. And, the "Knights of Lasseteria" universe, where we are now.) end up becoming one universe, with the planet changing geographically to have several new continents (The Kingdom of Guardia from the "Millennial" universe for instance) on it.

This raises a few concerns though.

1. Since the "KoL" Tom fused with the Plot Hole, what happens to the other alternate universe Toms? do they disappear too? Then again, the "RW" Tom is dead, and yet the "JoH" Tom is fine there although completely ahamed at what he's done.

2. This fusion of worlds would retcon the ending of "LoT", in which it's been 20 years (the attack was in 1999, so it's 2019) since the Lavos Attack in the "JoH" universe. Timmy, now 23, has been working with his father to build a stablized time machine/dimension hopper (since the one he knows still exists is in Guardia. He saw another one, but it had been broken up and made into a missile and then got destroyed) to see the Kingdom of Guardia again and marry Sophia (that universe' "Marle") if she'll still have him. Even if she won't he'll serve under her as a loyal knight if he has to. The Epoch Mark II is completed, Luke and Timmy return to Guardia, and Sophia is still in love with Timmy and they marry. Timmy tell his dad that he's staying in the Kingdom, but they'll figure out a way to keep in touch if ever possible. This does happen, thanks to Luke remembering their Rescue Badges and also asking Harold if he can borrow his new XTranciever that he got from vacation in Unova. Combining the technology from the Rescue Badge (which they use to transport themselves to and from the "Satoshi" universe at will whenever they wish, keeping their human forms this time), modifying it to go to other universes and combining this with the XTranciever, they've created an easier way for Luke to communicate and reach Timmy better than relying on the Epoch Mark II and the "inter-dimensional mailbox" they created all the time. If the fusion happens in 2012, all that technology plus the whole ending of "LoT" will become useless and pointless. The only way it can work, is  to have it happen at a later date than 2019.

Or, simply, it can just happen to this universe and ONLY this universe without the others being involved. But, that doesn't seem as fun nor as catastrophic if it were affecting all universes everywhere.
So what if I'm overthinking it? We've put in a lot of work into thi!
