Hi, I have a major problem. My dad got really mad at me for downloading and playing TSL. He does not allow me to download any online games from the net anymore. He says they are full of viruses and does not trust anyone. He says TSL messed up the family computer. It's been a long time since tSL was deleted from out computer. The three of us have to share a computer with internet connection. I have a labtop but it does not have net connection, it is expensive. I use my labtop for writing stories and playing games. I am an adult but i live in my parents house and go by my parents rules. SO does anyone have any advice? I'd like to ask some questions about possible family connections to King's quest.

Well one of the beneifts of having direct control over all the copies of the game that are properly distributed is that I can say 100% for certain that TSL does not have any viruses of any kind if you downloaded it from our site.  The only thing it really does is take up some space, it's as safe as buying a game in a box at the retail store and installing it.  There's no way at all TSL could have messed up any computer.

Personally I'd recommend getting internet for your laptop via tethering to your cellphone or a wireless thumb drive or something.

Most laptops have a wireless networking card and from dragonprincess's description of their laptop I believe theirs has one too. It would seem that the not having internet refers to a lack of a wireless router. I'm guessing that their current setup is modem to family computer. If you added a wireless router (modem>router>computers) into the mix you could use the laptop anywhere in the house.
Grateful about a free game currently in development & offering support to the dev team in hopes the final episode will be released. Will keep waiting for updates.
