I am willing to buy the whole Cognition Season from the PO Store, just to directly support this amazing studio. It is stated there that the Phoenix on Line store version is completely DRM free. I do not like DRM restrictions, especially when we are talking about a masterpiece like Cognition, and so I would like to know if there are any at all actions required in order to play the game (internet connection, serial, downloader, account log in etc.).

Thank you very much!  :)

Hello tsampikos! And thank you!

The game is DRM free, I'm happy to say. We need your email & payment info on the store, of course, though creating a full account there is optional. Then you'll receive a link via email where you can download the game files and then install or unzip as needed. And that's it! Then you go forth and enjoy the game :)

Thank you for the reply KatieHal!  :)

I must say that I have already bought the season pass from Rain DG but since it's with a serial number I would gladly buy it DRM free from the PO Store and support you. I should have known it or be patient and not buy the game that fast. I will buy it from the PO store then as soon as possible!

Thank you very much, once more!  :)

Well, if you already bought the game, I think we can work something out for you. :) Would you mind emailing me at katie (at) postudios (dot) com?

I don't have an example of bad GG customer service, but every single time I've gone onto that site to download a game it's confused me. And why is the logout button not some text that says "logout" but a power on/off symbol? ???

Also, not keen on the fact that you get "experience points" for using the site. :-\

So now that I know POS has a store, I'll buy directly from them. Yay! :D

I've bought the first episode from Indie Royale, I won't buy the other episodes from any of the listed shops. I'll wait for release at GOG.com

Welcome MichiGen! And thanks for buying the game on Indie Royale!

The list of stores in this thread is actually rather outdated. We sell on those still, but also in our own store (store.postudios.com), if that interests you. Exclusive to our store is the "Season Upgrade", which is a pro-rated price for Eps 2-4.

We do intend to get the game into GOG as well, once all four episodes are released, though! :)

Thank you for kind words  :)

And thank you for this info, that's a great news!! That sounds like a good deal, but I'm used to buy games from GOG (don't want to buy every game on a different store, so I won't remember where I've bought it). I'm playing the first episode now and it looks great, but I'll stop and wait till all 4 will be out, so I can play them all in a row.

I bought the first episode through some indie bundle (Desura key) together with prequel comics. Then season pass from this website.

I admit I had been peeping at Cognition curiously since I heard about it for first time months after its Kickstarter success. Demo intrigued me but I was hesitant to buy it because Gamefly and others used region DRM for everything I was interested in (= don't browse these websites) and Rain store was very vague how they distribute what I buy. I dislike intrusive DRM (3rd party client, online check, etc.) and a lot of shops recently like to use DRM-free as a marketing lime-twig instead of serious use. That's why I like GOG. They are very clear at what they offer and how they distribute it.
My personal humble tip is to expand on the description. Say that the user gets non-expiring X download attempts directly from unique HTTP address and nothing else is required. No calling home and so on.

We do intend to get the game into GOG as well, once all four episodes are released, though! :)
Awesome! I would like to see it there sooner now when GOG supports episodic content. On the other hand, a part of community is still suspicious of this release plan, so it won't probably hurt if you don't go down in GOG history as a episodic harbinger :D.
I'd probably buy a second copy there at some higher discount. Oh, and let's not forget the obligatory link to Cognition page on GOG wishlist.

Now if you excuse me, I have important things to do; namely launching Cognition episode 2 :P.

Oh believe me, since hearing GOG is thinking about changing their tune on episodic content, we're very interested in getting it there sooner if we can. :)

ALso, welcome! And thanks for the support Rinu--I hope you enjoy episode 2 :)

I keep my fingers crossed for your future partnership with GOG. This series seems like a perfect addition to their catalogue. You even have The Silver Lining in your arsenal which might be the great lure for old Sierra fans (I plan to play it later :-X).

I'm at the beginning of EP2 and I'm already liking it because Erica's computer screen is locked now when she is away. I know I'm weird that way ;D.
