So I'm at the part of the game where you're trying to arouse Robert Goodman's memories in the Interrogation Room using regression, but I'm stuck. I've managed to discover the color of Sarah Goodman's dress and the date, but the time eludes me. Anybody have any ideas or has gotten past this part? Thanks! :)

You likely used a particular item to figure out the date, but Robert might be able to remember the time if you give him something to help jog his memory :)

Thanks! Figured out the time! But I'm still stuck with the memory sequence on the note part. :P Any hints for that?

drusain

Figuring out the note is a little involved and tricky. Did you notice the green particles to indicate that Projection is available in this area? You'll want to work from there.

Think about what Erica said at the end of the recording. How can you reenact that time? And remember, who were the people who were in the recording?

Yeah I saw that, but the third person missing is
Davies and have no clue how to get her there...
I've figured out the whole game on my own up to this point.
I've gotten the post office pictures and I think rearranging them will make a message, but the game doesn't let me and of course to get this far I figured out how to find the niche to find the picture of Sarah. Is there something else at the crime scene? I noticed the cognition mist in front of the graffiti hasn't gone away.
Funny....I was able to get the time, but not the date. Nudge anyone? Maybe I'm missing something from inventory...

This puzzle is one of the best in recent years!

Having said that, I'm hopelessly stuck and I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not.

I've figured out the dress (blue), note (Scarlet Furies lyrics), subway station (Back Bay/Curry Palace Restaurant), time (9:30pm) and I'm stuck on the date of all things!

I looked at Erica's calendar on the cell phone and it SHOULD be October 8th 2008 but it's just not. I spent the last two years banging my head against the screen and in my old age, simply refuse to brain any more brain cells on this, so feel free to savagely spoil me.

I mean, I read the crime report thinking that maybe it was three years ago or something and I had to subtract a day for each year, but nope, the last time he saw her was Oct 8th 2008 so what the hell gives? It makes no sense!

PS Loving this game. I had a lot of doubts about it in the beginning, especially given the Gray Matter fiasco, but Cognition is as true a spiritual successor to Gabriel Knight as there will ever be. Got my season pass and had a blast playing through Episode 1 tonight!
I assume you brought John as your partner. In order to reenact Davies maybe you can find something interesting in her office. Something that she would have carried during the interrogation. Is there anything that Erica mentioned earlier that Davies always carried when interrogating people?

Remember what the recording said. What was the date of the recording? When was the last time that Robert saw Sarah? Your phone has a Calendar function that will be active at that point

Your answer to the station is incorrect, but everything else seems to be correct :) Check your phone about the train stations again
Buggrit :)

Just because Back Bay showed up as a different color on the subway map, I automatically assumed it was an in-game way of saying "Hey, dude, it's THIS station" even though there were a couple of others that seemed to be closer.

Anyhow, many thanks, looking forward to finishing the episode tonight, can't wait for the next one. Really satisfying gameplay and story progression!

I thought the same thing the first time I played this! Tricksy!

Haha same here. Those of us who aren't familiar with trains/subways and how they have different line "colors" are probably going to be consistently thrown off a bit by that.

In reference to the separated photo pieces:
You don't actually physically move them, you just need to figure out what order those four words would need to be in to make a real sentence. Then the numbers that go with those words in that order will be needed later.
Yeah, the color difference of that one station is from real life--if you lined up a map of Boston with the T (subway) lines showing, and the spot where the restaurant is, those are the closest ones. Most are on the branch called the Green Line, with that one being on the Orange Line. :)
