We don't have a release date for Episode 5 yet; it's in progress, though! When we do have a date, we'll be announcing it all over the site, though.

I'm pretty sure they're making Episode 5 an absolutely amazing finale. Giving us a much more satisfying end to the King's Quest series, than Mask of Eternity was able to.

I think they're going the JJ Abrams line of thinking: The last episode will take place in an alternate world and won't answer questions, instead leaving everyone confused

And that is why I'm not a game developer

Don't think POS will release TSL episode 5 in a short time, they're too busy with Cognition, they will also be busy with Moebius (the new AG made by Jane Jensen), nothing weird about that: I would also give priority to commercial projects over freeware ones (and also use a famous name like KQ as a springboard to make myself a name in the VG industry) if I were in their shoes.
Just sit and wait, maybe one day your wait will be over, it's done when it's done (and when POS high priority project will be finished)...

I hope The Silver Lining Episode 5 is not released after Moebius, I hope it comes out soon after Cognition episode 4.
If it comes out before Cognition Episode 4 it would be a dream

Episode 5 is currently still in progress, can't really give you a release date yet.

French subtitles are a possibility; I suppose it'll depend on whether or not the script is translated, though we can't really promise anything at this point

We are still working on it. I am personally overseeing all the stages of the game and an excited with it's progress. This small team is really starting to come together now that the pipeline is clear to us.

Hopefully the pace will quicken.
