Alexander Tait from Just Adventure recently had the opportunity to interview Cesar Bittar, the Project Director of King's Quest IX.  8)

It's ok, Cesar noticed they posted it before I did.  Guess I'm not special either.  :-\

Nice interview! :D And little more dribbles of info get played out.

The large screenshots, I was wondering... is the black bar at the top with the KQ9 logo the interface bar, or is it just "trim" that the JA+ folks added?

I was also sorta curious, have you guys ever done anything with/for Adventure Gamers?

Not into interview field, they are one of our friend community as so to speak we do promote many things in their boards (as other places as well) and I can say they are a GREAT community which I openly admit they have been nothing but open and very understanding toward the kq9 project, I also remember they did open an undergroud news (a section in their website about all kind of news) when the new kq9 site was released and everything, and Im certainly very thankful with them so far.

Huh, OK. I was just curious. :) AG seems kinda heavy in LA and Tierra stuff when it comes to fangames... I hope they'll branch out eventually.

On a more pertinent note, I can't help but think that the reason it's such a "struggle to find good voice acting" is the sort of attitude hierarchy the "actor realm" gives off. Namely that voice acting is less "worthy" than "full-body" acting, and video/computer game VO is less worthy than "normal" VO.

Heck I remember one of the actors from Wing Commander III/IV (I can't remember which one said it off-hand) saying that video/computer game FMV was considered sorta "throw-away" work... the  attitude's gotta be even worse for game voice acting.

Well, Im perhaps a bit biased myself since their staff (and also their community) has always been nice to Cris, Eric, Neil and such, and regarding the team they've been very respectful and everything. So far, honestly, can't complain myself.

I didn't mean to sound like I thought they were unsupportive, just that I haven't seen a lot of Sierra-fangame-related full-fleged articles on the site that didn't have something to with Tierra.

Personally, I like AG... I read it more often than JA+, truth be told.

The KQ9 top and bottom were already on the Screenshots and do not replace the interface bar.
