Honestly you would be surprised to hear this but...

The Boogieman's theme from KQ7. The fact that it can make the Boogeyman scary is impressive.

Mostly because it is a heart attack inducing theme.

Yup, I'm with you on this one... It's one of the reasons why I loved the graveyard in KQ7. A fondness for campy graveyards is another one.

I was watching Fringe recently, and they started playing Greensleeves.... and I just expected a super-pixellated Sir Graham to march along the bottom of my TV screen.

He never did.

On a related note, I can never hear a clock tower without thinking of Laura Bow...

As for favorite musical cues, I always liked those startling little jingles in the AGI games when some random monster showed up on screen and started chasing you.
I also like the fanfare from the openings of KQ3 and KQ4, Graham's theme from KQ5 (I always find myself humming it on peaceful days), and the clever use of leitmotifs in KQ6. (Listen closely every time you meet someone with golden eyes... )

What I didn't notice until recently actually, was that "Morning Stroll" from KQ5 is actually the King's Quest theme in a slower tempo! Just like, until recently, I never could understand how Cassima's Theme from KQ5 and KQ6 were one and the same until I listened closely.

I still like the KQ5 version better though.

Yeah, that theme from the intro is pretty much Graham's leitmotif in KQ5, so it pops up a lot through the game. (Riding the sled, caught by the roc, etc.)

One of my favorite things about KQ3 Redux is the callback (callforward?) to Graham's theme in the ending. Say what you will about the [spoiler]magical healing pinball scene[/spoiler], but the music there was perfect.

My favorite music from the canon games is "Crispin's Theme" from KQ5. In fact, 5, 6, and MoE all had good soundtracks.

My favorite music from the fan games is probably the instrumental version of "Coming Home" from KQ3 Redux. Special mention goes to the Emerald Tree theme from TSL.

Compare the Sorceror's Theme (8:44) to Spike's Theme. Hmmm... sound familiar?

I feel I should mention Manannan's horrible, horrible music from KQ3. You know, the DUUUUH, DUH DUH DUH DUUUUH. Just because it's a theme and I hate it.

Replaying KQ6 I suddenly realised that Beast's theme and Beauty's theme are variations on each other Which is really clever because not only is it thematically logical, but it's also a clue for the Beast puzzle!

No, but then I was ten or something when I first played it. And then the whole game just became second nature; I knew it so well (ie. knew all the puzzles, had seen a lot of death screens) that I thought I'd learned everything about it. More fool me!

I love the "Xylobone" bit in King's Quest 6.

I've always loved the town music from KQVI, still gets stuck in my head to this day.

Also, the harp music from the Weeping Willow screen in KQV
