It's time we settle this. We need to decide which console is the best now!

no no, not a famicom, a famiclone.

it was called family game 42-in-1 it had 42 nes games in it and it reads PAL NES games. I think my parents got it when it I was 4 years old, so 1991 probably

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I used to love the Atari 2600! And my first PC was an 8088 (though before that, we had an Atari 400).

Oh, the TRS-80 ("Trash 80" as some people called it) - we used those in high school.

really? according to their comic books the TRS 80 was better than the ipad and the PS4 put together:

Oh, my beloved Atari 2600.  I had that... then we had an Intellivision too, for a while.  My Dad worked for a Cable Company, and they gave us one with "PlayCable" to test.  It was the first system you could "download" a game and play it!  In 1982, that was amazing.

We got an Atari 7800 and NES a bit down the line.

My first PC, at home, was an 8088, too.  I used Apple II's in school, and taught myself BASIC on those - as well as LOGO.  Good times!

always wanted to play the AD&D games for the intellivision

I did play Tower of Doom on the Xbox 360's Game Room and that game was awesome

I love the fact you guys are having a console-war over consoles that some here may not have even been old enough to play. :P It makes me very happy.

Well this is essentially a fansite for a franchise that flourished in the early 90s.  So there is some obvious overlap. :)

By the way, I'm disappointed with you SNES folk, you named so many SNES games but none of you named Actraiser?

what's wrong with you? :P

Blackthorne

I love Actraiser!  I play the hell out of that game at least once or twice a year, still.  Hated that the sequel got rid of the sim stuff.

Indeed, the sequel while still a good game in its own right, is not as good a game because of it.

also a great Sega Genesis that no one mentioned:

love this game

stika

another Sega Genesis I really love:

Shining in the Darkness.

if you ever played the old wizardry games for the PC this is the closest you're gonna get on the Genesis

Balinaeri

I admit it. I'm cheesy. Here are my three favorite games on the SNES.

Note that the sequels to Top Gear were not nearly as good.

And, of course:

Those are all fine choices  ;D

if I had to pick my three favorite genesis games they'd be:

Lambonius

Sounds like a good time for me to go back to playing The Lost Vikings. I'm not sure if I ever did finish the final level.

Passcode for it is MSTR, I'm almost certain.

I didn't own either when they came out, but I did play some in college, mostly SNES.  I'm playing through Phantasy Star 1, so the Genesis games will be a while coming.

My top 3 so far:

I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Aww!  You have the Sword of Hugging +3!  All of your attacks deal affectionate damage!

stika

I never played Earthbound so I can't comment on it. But the other two are Fine choices:D

How are you liking Phantasy star 1 BTW?
