Quote from: Jeysie on July 29, 2004, 06:08:43 PMI would define an indoor cat as a cat who is always (or at least mostly) kept indoors, and an outdoor cat as a cat who is allowed outside on a regular basis.
Yes, usually the indoor-cat is kept indoors most of the time. The only problem is she has to "deposit her waste" outdoors, so we let her outside on a regular basis too. Now until the outdoor cat came, several minutes later she's show up again at our door and ask to be let in, and stay indoors until noon, or whenever she felt the urge to dig a little hole outside again. Now, once we let her out, she stays outside for half a day, only comes back to eat, and then starts meowing and begging to go outside again. She even did that in the middle of the night last week (when I was staying up late), to see if all the doors leading to the outside were locked! The outdoor-cat is meant to stay outside, and eat in the garden-house (?), but we fear he's not yet used enough to his surroundings he might get lost, so we keep an eye on him and lock him into that garden-house at night.

Quote from: Jeysie on July 30, 2004, 10:10:22 AMSnowy's a chubby cat. My mom really shouldn't feed her so often, but, oh well.
It's not the quantity of food a cat gets that makes her fat, it's the quality. Unlike fish, cats know when they've filled their belly, and stop eating, even though there's still food left. Ofcourse, if you feed a cat fat food, the cat gets fat, if you feed the cat normal food, she doesn't. Our cats don't get special food, so they can't develop a craving for it either. The outdoor-cat is doing a lot of eating though... :-\

Quote from: Questing Character on July 31, 2004, 11:26:02 AMANYWAYS:
I'm figuring Jeysie's going to meet a rich guy ('cause he's smart, and therefore owns some successful technology company :P) somewhere on the Internet (since she's shyer in RL, apparently).  Anyways, it will turn out he lives close to her (what a lucky coincidence) and then eventually, after a date (he'll have spent ALL evening working up the nerve, isn't that cute?!) he'll be stopped outside her house and he'll give her a goodnight kiss and then she'll open the car door (of his hella nice car) and he'll be like "Hold on a second" and pull out a ring and propose, all nervous-like.
Anyways, Jeysie will (needless to say) say yes.  There will be much kissing ( :X) and she'll run inside as he drives to his house.  As soon as she's inside (and he's doing the same thing, it would be one of those cool scenes in movies where two characters are doing the same stuff in different places) she'll pick up the phone and call all her friends and family.
Elapsed time: half an hour (maybe, depends on the kissing as usual)
Rich guy: check.
Smart guy: check.
Owns some successful technology company: not (yet).
Lives close to her: who knows. ::)
Spending all evening working up the nerve: yes I'm like that too. ;]
Maybe I should make a pic and post it of my helluva nice car... 8)

Ah. We have a strange contraption called a litter box. ;)

Tell that last bit to Rainy. :P Rainy would eat all day if we let him.

And I disagree about the quantity bit. My mother feeds Snowy a small can of wet cat a day, and leaves dry cat food out all the time, and Snowy is pudgy. Harrison and I, on the other hand, feed Rainy a bowlful of dry food a day, per the vet's orders, and he's stayed steady at 11 pounds, which is just on the high side of the ideal weight range for his breed. He's pretty muscular, though... just a little bit of belly.

Hee. Well, I personally want one of those new hybrid cars, like a Ford Escape. Typical "fancy" cars like sportscars or luxury cars interest me little. Heck, I don't even like being in a car... I'd rather walk whenever feasible. :P

And I hope that rich company owner needs a happenin' secretary to work for him. I'm so there! ;)

I'm sure you'd be there, Jeysie.  Although, I'm not sure he'd want you as a company secretary.  Maybe a personal secretary.... ;P
And you know, it might be CC we're talking about...it seems to fit very well. :P Although, I was more thinking that he got rich off of his technology company and wasn't rich beforehand.  And also that he lived close to her when he met her online which, if I recall....you're not exactly a New Englander (or even in this hemisphere :P)
Actually, I sort of had come up with histories for each person's fiance (except Kimmie's for some bizarre reason, although he does like carnivals and cotton candy and wearing costumes :P).  I decided to leave appearances to each poster who was involved though. ;-D
And if anybody else wants one (aside from CC, since he seems to have planted himself in one already :P) I'm willing to do more.

We have two of such contraptions, for whenever one of our cats need to 'go' during the night.

Ford Escape? Never heard of it being a hybrid car overhere, we just have the Toyota Prius II and the Honda Civic. Nope, just checked on the site, no Ford Escape in Belgium. BTW, you want an SUV ??? Oh, and another thing: I prefer walking or riding a bike to riding a car too, however, 40+ kms one way takes a bit too long to do by bike and certainly by foot.  Our public transport is unreliable and outhere not suitable unless I leave for work extrea early and thus can come home extra late, but that conflicts with my biorhythm. Hence, I use the car to drive to and from work (and there's not much more than that).

Since I'm not quite there (yet), in planting myself completely into that one, I wouldn't mind if you made one for me too.

Ok, I have to think for a bit.  Hold on...(and considering how many posts will be made in the time this takes maybe I'll make a surcharge...that'll be two non-consecutive posts in the Questie Worship thread. :P)
Ok, be warned, I know very little about European culture that's not Italian, so this could be so far off.
Anyhow, here goes.
I'm thinking you would be at an EXTREMELY nice restaraunt, sort of like the one Cat was at, except with good service. :P (By the way, is it true that in Europe you have to pay for water and bread?) Anyhow, moving on....you'd have made special arrangements beforehand just to a) make sure you couldn't lose your nerve and backout, and b) make it that much more unforgettable for her.
So anyways, you both order dessers.  She orders her favorite, which is some sort of ice cream thing, that they *usually* put a cherry on top of.  You, being smart like you are, had anticipated that she would do this so you have asked them to put a ring (provided by you) on the top of the ice cream instead of the cherry (because if the cherry was there too she might not see the ring and then you'd be in DEEP trouble :P).  Anyways, they bring out the desserts and she sees the ring and she says something along the lines of "Why is there jewelry instead of a cherry? What the hell?"
You propose to her, since now you're kind of stuck with it, and whether or not you're scared/nervous you can't back out now. (Go you with the forethought! :P)  So then, she says yes and there's kissing (here we go again) and probably some more kissing ( :X) and then they bring over the check and your waitron congratulates the both of you, and then you leave after you pay.
Elapsed time so far: 25 minutes (good service, remember? :P)
Anyways, you drive her home in your hella nice car (I DO want pictures, btw) and she goes in to alert her friends and family.  You drive to your house (I'm guessing....15 minutes away?) and immediately call your family and friends, making the short conversations because you know we're dying to hear how it went (you too were a good boy and told us your plans first) (plus, we'll be judging from now on how long it takes people to alert us of their engagements :P).  Anyways, finally you fire up your computer and post to us.
Elapsed time: 1.5 hours, depending on the kissing ( :X).  Congratulations, you proposed at the end of the meal and are therefore in the running for least amount of time spent! :P

It is? Blarg. There's a hybrid version over here, but I didn't know it was an SUV... goes to show how much I know about cars. :P

As for bad public transportation... that's a bad thing... I have no money for a car. (Which is why I don't drive yet. :P)
