According to Issue #16 of The Inventory, King's Quest IX is ranked #4 in the list of Top Ten Upcoming Adventures!  XD

Two questions actually: who's above KQ9? and why on earth are they above KQ9? We all know KQ9 is going to be the best ;D Great work people! :)

EDIT: Drat. J-ROC beat me to it :(

Grundy

Go read the article to see who's 3, 2 and 1.

( I would tell you, but it's been half an hour since I read it, and I've forgotten already! LOL. ;) )

But otherwise, congrats KQ9 TEAM! Keep working hard.

Haha, you can tell if you want.  I'm just not a part of the three projects over us, so I don't feel like promoting them.  :suffer:

Well, I haven't heard of the other three projects.  I'm pretty dedicated to this one ;D  This is where my loyalty stands!

I find it interesting that they mix commercial and "amateur" (or whatever you want to call non-commercial works) adventure games together.

I've heard of most of the others. Still Life was previewed in my latest issue of Computer Games, and it looks pretty cool.

Wait a second...why would the ferryman be on any isle besides the isle of the crown? Hmmmm maybe the ferry is up and running after all?

J-ROC

What in the heck are you talking about? :P

That's one of the beauty about the market target, it doesn't needs to actually make sense, from what it's known, from what there is, Im glad we made it to that list, it just only means how much people DO like this after all (in the fan community I mean), and how much people support the fan-games, that's just beautiful.

I think the reason KQ9 only made it to #4 is this.

It's the "Most Awaited" list. If the 3 games above KQ9 have release dates(no matter how inaccurate), then people are going to be waiting for them to be finished, not KQ9.

Let's assume you're waiting for 2 great games, that you like equally. If you know(or think) that game1 is going to be finished before game2, you'll be waiting for game1.
Example=Doom3, and Quake IV

Also, KQ9 seems to be more secretive than some of the others(which I think is a good thing).

Now, I'll be seeing if there's another reason for it.

James: look at the screenshot released with the Inventory article. Now, this screenshot has been posted on the internet before, and is pretty clearly of Graham and the ferryman (look at the art of the week a couple weeks back) at the isle with the cliffs of logic (the name of the isle escapes me at the moment).

Isle of the Sacred Mountain  8)

Yeah, that's it.  ;D I only just realized that was the ferryman because the last time that screen was released I don't think we had the AotW of the ferryman as reference.

Aaaaah!  Caught me off guard as your post wasn't particularly related to any of the previous posts. :)

Yeah....heheh...sorry, it just kinda popped into my head.

Ooh - the artwork on that Vampire one is beautiful!

I hope they find a publisher - I want to play that game!  Or course, we have to finish with KQ9 so I have time to play games :P.
