Pokemon X and Y

Bought both X and Y 5 days ago!

Just completed the main storyline in X and beat the Champion last night!

Good LORD I loved this game!!!

Just... Everything about it I liked- the story, the music, the environments, and even the new Pokemon and main characters!

I also really liked the Pokemon-Amie feature, and found myself saying "Good boy!" Or "Good girl!" often during battle. Plus the mini games (especially Head It) were fun too!

My team is:

Chestnaught (Hero)

Lucario (Elsa, CAUGHT AS RARE FEMALE RIOLU ON FIRST ENCOUNTER!)

Pyroar (Kreesha)

Aegislash (Soulforge)

Tyrantrum (Roget)

Sylveon (Erana, The Most Adorable Dragonslayer Ever!)

Why is Kalos being based on France sad though? Got something against France, LadyTerra?

Notice a pattern in my team btw? They're Quest for Glory themed! As for Y? I'm planning on a team based on Norse Mythology!

I'm picking Fennekin as my starter there (since foxes have been witch's familiars in Europe). Skiddo (Thor's chariot is pulled by goats). Fletchling COULD reference Freyja (who could turn into a falcon with her magic cloak), but I'm not sure about that. Inkay could reference the Kraken in Mythology (yes, IIRC the Norse had Krakens too!) Some sort of Dragon type (or Charizard!) could reference Fafnir, a greedy dwarf who's turned into a dragon and guarded a horde of gold and jewels. And as for Sleipnir, Odin's horse? I'm not sure about that either! Ponyta? Or Blitzle? Something else?

It's mostly because of having to deal with some data from France, but it's also fun to make fun of things.

The story was the best yet in this series, and got surprisingly dark for something that's rated E.  I also like little touches they did with the graphics, such as whenever you send out a new pokemon, the camera adjusts to the height of the model instead of making everything the same height.  I also liked how that one cinematic used your character's model, color, and outfit in that cutscene.

My team right now is:

Greninja (Poseidon)

Venusaur (Chronos) (Yes, I know it's spelled wrong, but it's tradition for me, so it's okay)

Blaziken (no nickname, since he's from the Mystery Gift, and I can't change his name)

Doublade (Quicksilver)

Tyrantrum (Titan)

Xerneas (Gaia)

I thought Frigg was the one with the raven cloak, and Freya had the cat chariot.  Still good names, though.

Freyja had a falcon cloak AND a cat chariot! And something else I can't remember.
