Physical copy of Cognition

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to say thank you for this truly awesome game! It's hard to find such high quality storytelling and you guys have done an amazing job. I have two questions:

1) When is the hard copy of Cognition coming out? I didn't donate anything to the Kickstarter (alas, I heard of it too late) and I'd really like a physical copy, which I've read that some donors will get - when it does come out it's not going to be some special ''Kickstarter's only'' edition, right?

2) When is the soundtrack coming out? I really liked the music from episode 3 - the piano piece from Max's office as well as the reprise of it at the end, the one that plays by Keith's work station, and so on...

Keep up the good work!!! Am impatiently waiting for season 2 :P

I've seen a collector's edition up for sale in my country, with the ost and the prequel comic.
But I haven't seen an "official release" yet and I have absolutely no info on the one released here,
so I'm gonna wait  for an english release (if it's going to happen)

In some stores and for some bundles we've added the soundtrack and comic, but it isn't really the "collector's edition," at least not officially. Our store, for one, currently sells the four episodes packaged with the soundtrack and comic in a digital format.

We are working with a physical retailer (part of our Kickstarter rewards included physical copies), but we don't have a date for when hard copies will be available to the public at this time.

Do you have any idea when the soundtrack will be available? (And the physical copy? Does it look like a month, three months, a year?)

Two years ago you had a date
QuotePledge $40 or more: 95 backers [will recieve] a hard copy of the game and of the soundtrack!  Estimated delivery: Jun 2012

Now, I understand you're a rinky-dink operation but the preliminary groundwork for physical-copy manufacture/distribution should have been negotiated BEFORE the promise was made.  You are almost two years late for 95 people who donated with you in good faith.

Kickstarter estimates are just that--estimates. We try our best to make them, but they aren't gaurantees, and it's impossible to ship something that does not exist. Our estimates were off, obviously, but they have now been fulfilled, and for any potential future Kickstarters, we'll have a more informed idea of what to estimate.

Now, at THIS point in time, all of these copies have been mailed out. If you're one of our backers, I am sorry for the longer than anticipated wait, and if you haven't yet received your copy, you can PM me with your name and address and I can look into it to figure out why that's the case, as all backer copies have been mailed by now.

As Katie pointed out, estimates are just that. There is no obligation to have something released on that exact date (or month in this case). I have been backing Kickstarter projects for almost two years now and with 127 currently on my list (not all of which got funded, mind you) I have yet to see a single project meet one of these deadlines. Especially when one of the stretch goals is expanded content. Now, I wasn't there for Cognition but I know how crowdfunding works.

I doubt anyone expected it by June, 2012.     But within 30 days after the last chapter was released online is a reasonable expectation.

I'd just like to say that I'm very interested in buying a physical copy, even though I didn't back the Kickstarter. I realize it's been a while the last episode was released, and I hope Phoenix Online hasn't given up on publishing them out of fear for lack of a market or something - I much prefer having my favourite games on a shelf where I can gloat over them rather than have them float intangibly in the internet :P

Would love a physical copy as well, though I doubt that it's going to happen...

As Katie also pointed out, physical copies HAVE been sent to the backers. I don't think it was ever promised that non-backers would be able to get them.

We're working on making available for purchase as physical products. As you might imagine, it's a complicated process, though.

So are there any news on the soundtrack for the entire series?
