If the KQ franchise was turned into a set of live-action movies, who would you like to see cast as which character? It doesn't matter the nationality, just whether you think they would fit the bill or not.

I know POS likened Graham's appearance in TSL to Harrison Ford, but old!Graham always struck me as kind of a George Clooney-type.

I'd think it'd be fun to have Emma Stone play Rosella, but Emma is probably too old right now, given that Rosella is 17 at the most during KQ3. Then again, Emma certainly doesn't look that much older.

Mordack could be any older, dark-skinned actor, such as Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley or Denzel Washington. Manannan is a whole other can of worms, as there are quite a few old creepy white guys who could play him. I'd be open to Malcolm McDowell, Christopher Lee, or Jack Nicholson. However, I think the one that fits the bill most perfectly would be Udo Kier:

There's just something off-putting about those eyes.

Meanwhile, I find the concept of Christopher Walken as Crispin pretty amusing. It's probably not the best fit, it's just kind of amusing.

With Saladin, it would obviously be important to give him a good voice than it would be to worry about who's going to wear the makeup/CGI suit. I'd vote for Corey Burton. That guy's got a good baritone voice.

...maybe Robin Williams as the Boogeyman?

I don't know, what are your thoughts?

EDIT: Don't everybody jump on this topic at once. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these ideas. Also, I would like to see Cedric being voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch.

*thaws out ancient account*

I saw this post and couldn't resist - I've been casting this movie in my head since I was 15 (you can even see another list of ideas for this in my signature):

King Graham - Dennis Quaid... though now I would seriously consider Michael C. Hall for the part.

Valanice - Rachel Weisz. Must. No exceptions.
Alexander - Tom Welling or Hugh Dancy
Cassima - Lindsay Hartley
Edgar - Evan Peters (I picture his character as a little quirky) or Wes Ramsey
Rosella - Jennifer Lawrence or Sarah Michelle Gellar (but she is definitely too old now... maybe teeny Buffy could have pulled it off....)

Edit: Johnny Depp as the Boogeyman. Hands-down. And Dr. Cadaver. He would be great for either of those parts.
She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is Rosella.

Johnny Depp can really go from a heartthrob to a creepy-looking nutcase for his part, that's for sure.

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the age of the actors, since actors are always different ages than their characters are supposed to be anyway.

Jennifer Lawrence would be a perfect Rosella. She's probably my second-favorite Royal Family member (at least, the more subdued and heroic KQ4!Rosella). I don't know that J-Law really looks the part, but she's always endearing...at least, in real life.

Not so sure about some of her roles.

Settle down, Jen.

Rachel Weisz as Valanice = instant win.

Does Dennis Quaid still act? I haven't heard about any new films he's been in for a while now.

Yeah, he's still active. Most recently, he was in the Vegas TV show.

Bludshot

Vin Diesel as King Graham.

Because he'd be the type to wear a shirt two sizes too small.

George Clooney as King Graham
Meryl Streep as Valanice
Elijah Wood as Alexander
Jennifer Lawrence as Rosella
Hedwig as Cedric

BOOM! (Yes, I thought this through rather heavily)

Who would be cast as Malicia? An old lady with a masculine voice comes to mind, but I can't think of very many actresses like that. Bea Arthur fits the bill, but she's not exactly active right now, if you catch my drift.

Btw, I'm all for Helena Bonham-Carter playing Lolotte.

It's funny how some actors have really defined there roles.. I didn't realize this until I started thinking of some favorite actors and actresses, and then realized how wrong they would be for any role in a King's Quest film.

Jennifer Lawrence came to mind first for Rosella, although Emma Watson could probably pull it off too.
Joshua Bowman for Alexander.
I agree a thousand times over with George Clooney as King Graham.
I was going to say Angelina Jolie for Valanice, but didn't realize how young she was.

Bea would have been perfect...

Now I picture someone like Frances Conroy, or the mother from Two and a Half Men....

I think the Three-Headed Dragon should have a voice, so as to make clear that he is the one demanding sacrifices personally and not some herald. I would like it if only the middle head talked, and when he did, out came...the voice of Jar Jar Binks.
