TSL Goofs

It is stated that TSL follows the Classics of Kings Quest and Not the VGA Versions.

It is also stated that the Game is True to the Originals in every way, yet why are there so many Goofs from True Fans of the Roberta Williams Series in TSL

You dont follow the Books witch ive Never read before, but you seem to follow the Games witch Surprisingly the Fans know way more then you do.

Dont get me wrong, i Love TSL to bits, but it seems the Chapters has More Mistakes then a Movie witch the Website called http://www.howitshouldhaveended.com/videos can do a Parody off in witch they did with Skyrim.

Sounds more like a bunch of nit picking by people who have nothing better to do. If people like it then leave it alone and just take it as is. Nothing is perfect. If you are looking for something that is perfect then get use to disappointment.

That entire page is actually pretty pathetic. It's kind of depressing that he of all people is in charge of the King's Quest wiki, given that he seemingly has nothing better to do than tear down TSL after being rightfully kicked out of the forum for his behavior. I love how the TSL article says that episode 5 is either vaporware or put "on-hold" for POS' other projects, when it's not either of those.

I figured Cesar needed Money to continue Ep5 so the Game can get a Better System or something, why else start a Store for other Games when we are so close on the Last Chapter.

I truly Hope Ep5 isent as Short as Ep1 i hope its the Size of All 4 Chapters together.

[spoiler]Why is Valanice a Black Cloak and a Druid, was it in the KQ Lore somewhere or did Cesar just decided to go into that direction with King Graham being a Descendant of the Silver Cloak aswell.

Was there a Story on the Black Cloak and the Silver Cloak, or did Cesar made this up, even though in the KQ Series, we just heard bits and pieces of them.

Roberta Williams herself stated once Years ago she knows Nothing about them, it was Jane Jenson that put them in there.[/spoiler]

Episode 5 is bigger than Episode 1, but definitely not as big as Episodes 1-4 combined. I'd say it'll be about the size of Episodes 3 or 4 when complete.

The Quest for Glory fansite, Quest for More Glory, does not permit any discussion on the topic of this game except within two specific threads. They enacted an actual policy, in June 2010, regarding the game's discussion. Previous to the enactment of this rule, posts by forum members were deleted or entirely edited, and members were given warnings against mentioning the game (and were threatened with bans for repeat offenses). As of July 4, 2012, the administrator of Quest for More Glory reversed her policy allowing discussion of the game, reinstating the old policy of banning anyone for the slightest mention of the game.

Phoenix Online Studios (developers of The Silver Lining) has a similar policy for images from this game (see image above), which they see as being 'porn'. Which they will ban over. ironically, even PC gamer dared show that image in one of their articles! Ironically, POS have added elements to KQ fan work that are borderline risqué themselves.

Ironically, he starts out a lot of his sentences with the same word! Ironically, he fills his entries with bias and exclamation marks, which is very unprofessional for a wiki!

I also distinctly remember him saying that KQ2 was more explicit than MoE on the grounds that the parser responded to curse words. I, for one, find that expletives (that you don't have to type) and rear nudity (that one cheat, you know the one I'm talking about) to be on a whole different plane from each other.

As an aside, I need to know if I'm treading into ban-worthy territory, what with me badmouthing a former member of the forums. Admins, am I getting too personal here?

No, I think you're fine. The whole situation was really unfortunate. He's obviously very knowledgeable, and there was often interesting information buried in his walls of text. Ultimately, it wasn't just the images he posted that got him banned - it was also the way he treated members of the forums.
