I too have lost my save files. I was in day 3.

This really is a shame, because if I start over again, or from another save file you would send me, I'm 99% sure I will lose this other save file as well eventually.

I don't see the point of playing if I risk losing my save file again.

Please patch the game.

Hi, alexisbietti,

We are already looking into alternatives and will see what can be done.  Our technical people say it's due to a factory-default of Unity, our development platform, that can't be easily changed locally so they are investigating other methods including online/cloud saving, so we'll see what they come up with.

In the meantime, you can use the save file in http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=14152.0 from "d2" to replay day 3 or "d3" to skip the day and continue, if you'd like.
The workaround would be to copy the save file outside to a local directory for now after each game session.
I know that's far from perfect, but you would at least be able to play.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and rest assured, we are not ignoring this issue.
Thank you for posting!

Thanks for the save files. Cheers

Michael

Recently bought a Mac, which I upgraded to Yosemite, losing all saves (including manual saves).

Joined the forum to figure out what gives.

Read the posts re: default save location on Mac.

It is difficult to see how this and the "autosave bug" (which kept me wandering around, talking and clicking for a couple of hours trying to end day 2) can have been overlooked.

I completed GK1 in '93 with no hints; I wanted to see if I could still complete the remake without hints or even using the 'spacebar hotspot', so having a bug that prevented the day ending made me feel like I can't figure out stuff that I used to be able to figure out. This made me feel rather depressed.

Please patch the Mac version; but don't rush it - do it right so that when I download the update I can be confident any failure to advance in the game is a sign of my own decrepitude, not insufficient beta testing.

Technical issues aside, the artwork is terrific and I have been impressed with the voice acting. I look forward to starting the game anew when the updated version is available on GOG. I hope it isn't on sale.  :wall:
