Well, one would be that you, Jafar, secretly wish Deloria liked you...so you could HEARTLESSLY REJECT HER. Meanieh.
Or maybe you subconsciously like Deloria, but you're afraid she'll reject you. Or you subconsciously like her, but you don't want to do anything about it.
