No, I didn't. I had forgotten about that - there was supposed to be one.
Have you begun testing the 'Unity 5' version of TSL5? Are there important differences with the previous version from your POV (tester and player)?
I've done some minimal testing of the Unity 5 version. The biggest difference is that videos play in the editor - previously that was only possible in the Pro version. I've been really busy with my job (software testing) and life (kids).

Awwww! :( I actually really liked Amy!
Me, too. :( I was sad that she wasn't able to do it, but it sounds like she's pretty busy.

Don't worry, please. I understand perfectly that it is very difficult to make time where there is none. And I never forget that this is a fan game that does not provide any money for all of you. Still the reports of Chris and Katie indicate that the game goes forward and most of the work is already done. Cheer up!  :)

Thanks a lot to:
- Amy Kurillo for the good times we've been listening to her.
- Jason Victor for the above plus making time for TSL5.

However, we took the opportunity to do something a little different with the narration that I think people will enjoy. :)
Hummm... It sounds very intriguing! I remember a Homalyn somewhere ...

Haha, no it's not me narrating. :)

All of the dialogue is recorded for the episode--possibly one character has some more lines to record, I think, but it's at least 90% done and recorded. Jason Victor is indeed returning as Graham, although, alas, Amy Kurillo was not available to return as the narrator. However, we took the opportunity to do something a little different with the narration that I think people will enjoy. :)

Interesting.  Does her lack of availability have anything to do with the fact that it's been FIVE YEARS since this game (the one that your fans put you on the map for) was pushed to the back burner?

GrahamRocks!

*narrows eyes* And it took doubly that for the game to come out at all. I swear to God, every time I see someone complain about the wait for this game, I want to scream, "It took TEN YEARS for this to even exist beyond a demo! The fans should be lucky to have anything at all, and realize that 'hey, people have lives outside of game making! Especially a fan game made for free that has a very troubled production!' but no, no, it's always the producers that are f***ing ungrateful and should be insulted and called "pieces of s***", and not the people who constantly bitterly complain about the wait for episode five, which does nothing but slow things down and bring down encouragement to work on the game or post on here about it at all, because they know they'll never be satisfied with anything said about it, production wise."

(the one that your fans put you on the map for)
POS is on the map because they made a GREAT work SELFLESSly. You are underestimating them and overrating yourSELF.

I thought that we (adventure gamers) were respectful people, but last months I'm beginning to think the opposite. What a pity that give me such opinions!  :( :( :'(

Actually they've made more than one great work as Cognition and Moebius did pretty well with people too.

Quelea

Those who let themselves get impatient and angry about release dates/delays are rarely satisfied by the end product anyhow, which is a shame. Why ruin it for yourself like that?

Blowfish64 has only made three posts on this forum so far, and has been consistently unpleasant and ungrateful in all of them. Let me tell you something, Blowfish: POStudios will work on whatever they want, independent of your hateful "contributions" to this forum. Your opinion doesn't matter, because you've done nothing to earn anyone's respect. Either grow up or get out, because we don't have the patience to put up with people like you, especially since your very first post was tearing into Cognition, and the other two posts are you complaining about TSL 5 taking too long, signs of an immature and impatient mind.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

KatieHal

Thank you for your support, guys.

And no, it has nothing to do with the timeline of production. The vast majority of the voice recordings were completed years ago for Episode 5, as was the writing of it. Amy was unavailable at that time and we made adjustments in the script for that.

I hope the new narration is the bored-sounding old man who narrated KQ5. Graham will look in his inventory only to find that he's lost everything in between chapters 4 and 5 and the narrator will say, "The pouch is EMPTY!"

And if you make it 90% of the way through the episode only to choke in the home stretch, the narrator will say, in his own dispassionate way, "Too bad. So close, yet so far away."
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

I agree, except that he should just say "QUIT."

*Graham dies in a really stupid and embarrassing way*

Narrator (deadpan): Thanks for playing The Silver Lining.

Alternatively...

Narrator: Poor Graham. Shadrack shows no mercy.

Thank you for your support, guys.
Thanks a lot to you for the GREAT stories you've written for us (silly adventure gamers): The Silver Lining, Cognition and the new funny lines at the confessional in GK20th.  :D

Stupid, embarrasing and VERY FUNNY way.

How many ways to die will be in TSL5? Less than 10 or more than 10? Wich is your favourite one in TSL1-4?

I'm sure that there will be a fair amount of deaths, given this is the grand finale of the TSL series. My favorite death in the previous episodes was Graham stepping on the nail in the throne room.

Graham: YAAAAGGGHHH!
*A rock falls on Graham's head*
Graham (seemingly not in pain anymore): Hmm?
*A bunch of rocks fall on Graham's head*
Narrator: You should have listened to the guard, your maj-uh-STEE!
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

GrahamRocks!

Yeah, that death has always been kinda odd to me. Was it the yell that brought down the rocks or was him hopping around on one foot that did it? Either way, that ceiling's REALLY weak if it collapses from just that.

Numbers

I like to think Lt. Shorty deliberately booby-trapped the room to bump off any wayward adventurers who don't listen to her warnings.

My second-favorite death is going to the Winged Ones' city, taking the flying shoes off, and deliberately walking over the edge and into the abyss below. Graham even makes the same death scream he did during the nail death scene.

How great would it have been if instead of that soundbite of Jason Victor going "YAAAAGGGHHHH" they instead used Graham's death scream from KQ5? Just imagine Graham stepping on the nail, starting to do that long, dramatic scream, only for a rock to fall on his head, cutting off the scream and making Graham calmly say "Hmm?" before the rest of the rocks fall on his head and he goes back to screaming again.

Hey guys, I've played all TSL games with my dad (with whom I've experienced the old KQ games 20 years ago) and we really enjoyed all the memories coming back up. I bet there are lots of guys like me, who just silently follow the conversation and updates in these forums. But after checking in again today, I just HAD to create an account to tell you guys how thankful I am. I feel like there aren't enough people who are telling you this: You are doing an awesome job with those games! We are so looking forward to playing episode 5, even if it takes another 5 years to be finished :)

That'd be awesome btw.

Far better, without doubt!

My favourite one is Graham being trapped by the grapevine.
Also, the death-sentence ("I want to love him and squeeze him and call him George!") is a reference to Bugs Bunny Ep 168 The Abominable Snow Rabbit, a too hilarious episode!
