I doubt it, honestly. If they just barely started implementing motion capture a few months ago, there's no way the visuals will be finished by year's end, let alone everything that visual effects work entails.

Can we get a progress percentage breakdown? When this thread was started, the progress was stated as:

Props: 80%
Backgrounds: 70% (without polish)
Cinematics: 55%
Characters: 30% (including uprezzing and rigging)"

Is it really too much to ask for a progress update if the original announcement isn't going to be met? I've been checking this forum every couple months for years and it's nice that we know what is being worked on, but when we were told 2017 and 2017 is almost over, I don't see why there can't be more getting in touch with the people who are patiently waiting,

Because it took a decade for this game to even be released. Because people have lives to live not focused on this game. Because we'd rather have a game take forever to be released and be good rather than having it be a rushed job. Sometimes no news is no news. And frankly, fandom is insatiable no matter what. If they told us that it was coming out next week, then there'd still people complaining about it saying that they want it NOW. Patience is a virtue, but it's not one that people follow well, if Shalkar popping up every few months to whine about it is any indication despite being told several times to it out because it's not helping anyone.

"We haven't made any progress in the game except motion capture" is still news. I think if the 2017 goal isn't met we should get some kind of progress update, preferably in the percent format mentioned.

That's not going to be enough, and you know it. If they give us a graph or a bar or a percentage, then there's ALWAYS going to be people who will whine about it, saying "WORK FASTER!" and "Really?! That's how far you've gotten over the course of five years?! That's nothing!" I say that it's better to just give us news and updates when they can, when they have them, rather than that. I check these forums every day, but you'd don't see me complaining let alone hardly asking constantly when the next chapter is going to be finished. I have better things to do than that.

Yeah. Of course I had a rough life. It's not the best but not entirely terrible. Yes I would love to finish the last chapter one day an actually enjoy it. As well as GrahamRocks & Numbers. Their decent people on this board. 

An yes Numbers I would love to have a lamborghini or maybe a Cadillac coupe lol. We have to have our own business an make 100g a year to reward ourselves. I have a friend who sells stuff an he read a book rich dad poor dad an he teaches things to other people on how to be a solution to a problem. So I need to focus on better things an worry about this game another time. It will be done when it's done I hope.

When it is complete I will play all the chapters in order to reexpierence the story. I love this game as much as I liked King's Quest VI.

Here's looking for a possible 2018 release! Not guaranteed, of course; no use getting frustrated over something the team needs time to work on. But still looking forward to it being released whenever that is.

I know I'm not as active on the forums or even with the project that much anymore but the team is working hard on the game and when I come back from teaching I can see progress being made so sit tight, enjoy life and you'll get the game when it's ready.
