Gone for a while....

Hey, everyone, I just got back from being gone for about 5 and a half weeks (with one week in between where I was at home but didn't really do anything). I eagerly got on the KQ9 website looking for new info, possibly the online audition results, definitely the results of the character contest, at the very least a lot of new posts in the forums.

But what I saw was hardly any new posts in the forums (not counting Off Topic and Haven, which aren't really my cup of tea), no results from Online Auditions or the contest, and basically hardly any new info. I did enjoy the new Art of the Weeks very much, though. Basically, I'm really worried about this project. No "monthly" update since May? Thats like three months of missing updates. The deadline for the character contest is long passed and yet the contest is still open. I remember seeing Mike say he would be finished casting at the end of August, but they're still open now.

Is the project still progressing? Because by the looks of it, it is dead.

They said they're going to give a BIG update in a few months(I forget the exact date). They said they didn't want to give it in pieces.

The KQ9 server went down awhile back, and it's using a new server now(which is supposed to be more stable).

Many members of the forum are coming back(like you).

I was a pumpkin, till about a couple of hours before you posted.

We have many new smileys.

The forum is MUCH faster now(at least, it seems that way to me).

Say and Yonkey are about to post in this thread.

Darth Vader has been frozen(but for how long? ).

Phoenix is planning on making a once-a-week get together in the chatroom(if I understand correctly).

There are a lot of updates being planned.  You can check out this thread for a bit more information on what's being planned.  Phase one of the character contest, the online auditions and flash game contest will continue to remain open until the major monthly update.  

The project is still progressing very well, we may even be giving a progress update soon. You should keep looking at the Journal and subscribe to the Newsletter to be aware of the latest progress and site updates.

Let's see...from what I remember...they're hoping for the next update to be by the beginning of September.  
Online auditions, they have to make sure that all parts are cast.  They have to make sure that they're casting the right people with the right parts.
Costume contest...I don't know how many entries they have, but they need to have enough to have the 30 "finalists"

lol it is dead because ? all the minor updates has been done since before may nonstop, in fact, you can't make them all happy to be true if everything were alright you would still find a reason to complain I see.

I remember beernuts openly complaining about how we've got distracted from game development due the website features, truth is things have got complex which I'm sorry not going to explain to you and we've had our main website priorities to come together in efforst for coordination department hence it was needed, I did mention this before, and I say this again the fact that you don't get exactly what you want the moment you want it it's not for you to keep complaining about it and say the project is dead, the project is not dead liam

about the contest, the contest is not supposed to last a month, it last more than that and it will go though 3 phases, remember that, about the auditions the fact that michael is still gathering efforts for the real recordings (which are main priority) and not giving his whole attention to the minor roles is bad? I don't think so, he's also the art director assistant and main texturer I should say, and so far I've seen him fulfill many of his own duties alright, even the auditions. about the updates I'm sorry you keep complaining but the more you complain about it the more I will start taking seriously your suggestions because truth is no matter what a day, a week or a month you will be completly unhappy, and Im sorry I've had things to do besides putting the update together, you honestly make me not want to do more monthly updates and truth is wether you like it or not they will be done when they will be done, if this would be my day job I would gladly keep around 24/7, it's not so it is obviously not where I can attend as anytime a forum member complains yet I do try to do so, I have had a clean record since I took over the website, If you've been around before october-november you would have seen what is NOT an updated website and you by all means think it twice before coming and claiming anything, but I asume it's alright since you do support and you're eager for kq9 things, sad fact is many things are going to change around here and you will get less and less if these complains go on because I work for free but by no means each time I care to do something I have to come here and explain myself over 50 times without any open support of any kind, I've said I got other kq9 duties to attend to what your actions are are truly your own to go for, but Im getting tired of this from YOU, so I suggest you please take it easy and just knock it off, there ARE updates, there IS development the fact I don't come here each time to inform or update everything that goes on doesn't mean pooh, so Im sorry either you just go with it or next time you KEEP complaining Im going to automatically delete your post because this is like the 5th time I answer to your whims, be patiente or just stop spamming the forum with the same posts, this is probably your third warning so Im not going to even bother for another reply, I don't want another post on this matter I'm tired to repeat myself with this issue, if you are so serious and concern, submit it seriously then saydmell.salazar@kq9.org. No hard feelings, Im seriously tired of the same old from you, it's becoming pointless.
