Let's not forget what happened LAST time Rosella was in the swamp!

Shadowfax

Hmm, obviously not Rosella's day!
When cities burn and armies turn,
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day.
But warriors know it in their marrow when they die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have fought at all.

rosellafan

OR Worse day for the young lady!

Shadowfax

Tis' not a fine fate to suffer so it tis'

rosellafan

I don't think THIS is what she had in mind when they said "powdering her nose!"

Shadowfax

Hehehehehehe!  ;D

Still, that fate is positively trivial compared to some of the monstrous things the Rosella in my KQ IX will have to cope with (obviously I will not say as that would be telling...but...I can say she will have one of the best parts in the story adventure wise!)

positively trivial!!!???  What could be worse than being at the very END of your quest, and then foolishly deciding to wake the evil witch who crankily wakes up and decides today is a good day to check "recylcle pretty princess into sweep easy pile" off her list of things to do!?!?  And if you have come up with something so deviously fun... you must tell me!  ;)  afterall... i'm the self proclaimed mistress of the "untimely end."  ::)

Well, its not deviously fun what my Rosella has to go through; many of the dangers she faces are...well...nothing short of very, very brutal and deeply frightning to say the least.
I can't really say what is going to happen to her but I can assure you it will be rather shocking.
So, sorry KQ IX forum wanderer's, you will not be told and sorry rosellafan I cannot tell you here either!

YAWWWWWWWN... I GOTTA stop staying up so late!  Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  I posted a few chapters to the site.  Rosella has GOT to learn to be more careful!

Yay!! I love Rosella :) Sad about bad things happening to her, though.  But I suppose we're going to be able to work her way out of them?

This is wonderful, Rosellafan :)

Well, without giving too much away, it will be a bit of a shock just how bad some of the stuff is. You will be able to get her through most of it!
;)

Oh yeah one more thing, you may be able to catch a glimpse of some of the horrible things she has to survive when a post somethin on the Fan Fiction board. However, various warrants mean that I cannot leave it up there for anything longer than one day so you will have to be quick!

I've updated the NEW Perils of Rosella story once again, and this time, with a decent nugget of the storyline for those who were waiting, asking "what the hell is her point?"  So hopefully someone will be happy with it.  Anyhoo, happy adventuring, and thanks all for reading/playing!  :)

It's beginning to seem more like a text adventure game, than an intreractive story, to me anyways. :)

rosellafan

yeep!  Is that a good thing  ???  I'm so confused  :-\

Louisiana Night

I was refering to the writing style. Before, the website seemed like it was written, like most books/storys/etc. Now, it seems like the writing style has changed, to a similar writting style of a text game(think KQ, without the graphics).

I'm not sure how to express my idea, any clearer than that. :P

Whether it's a good thing, or a bad thing, depends on how you look at it. ;D

rosellafan

I think I understand.  Perhaps a text adventure gives the player more options, and an interactive story gives the reader limited options while leading them in a general direction?  I'll be honest, I'm making the whole thing up as I go along, so perhaps that leads to some of my inconsistancies?  I just really want people to enjoy it, because I'm having a blast writing it! :)

Louisiana Night

I'm enjoying it, and considering who the people in this forum are(most are KQ fans), they must be enjoying it too. :D

koko_99_2001

I know I'm enjoying it.  I let you update it a couple times before I check it out...so please continue to let us know when you update! ;D

It is fun, though... is there going to be only one "correct" path when you get into Tamir? I know some choices are 'coming soon', but I've died using all the ones that are there!  :-\

Nice work though, I hope to be able to continue adevnturing with it soon!  :)

*Hopes you've enjoyed all the creative death scenes thus far.  Poor Rosella, though.  You're really putting her through the ringer.  As far as multiple "correct" paths?  I hope to get that integrated, one I get the princess out of the pesky swamp.  I realize it's frustrated dying, but there ARE a lot of dangers in the swamp for an unprepared girl ;)  Anyhoo, leave me feedback, ie, what WOULD you like to see?  Perils I'm leaving out?  Themes you'd like to see?  Things you HATE about the story  :-\  What's everyone's favorite part so far???  :D  -Okay, hope to hear from people, and thanks again for reading!
