Some monster ideas

So far, the monsters and creatures of the King's Quest series were mostly of European legends (and occasional Native American).  Why not include some Asian legends?

Like my favorite Japanese monster... the Tengu!  Now, there are two versions of the Tengu: One that looks like a humanoid with a goofy long nose, and the other is a bird-like humanoid creature.  I prefer the latter, myself.

I don't want to give too much away, but there are some creatures of Asian legend in KQIX.  The majority of characters are based on Daventorian legend or rather KQIX's.  So some are inspired from history and cultures, while others are purely conjured up by the minds of our writers and artists.

Well some of the races in my look fairly conventional until you look at their history/culture/language/behaviour. Then things get so bizarre and pseudo-(religious)-political that they practically defy the mind when it comes to interpreting their doctrines!

I was just wondering if their would be any Norse or Celtic Mythology references?  I don't really remember any from previous games, except for leprechauns, but it's been so long that I might have forgotten.

Could you point out the creatures from Native American legends for me, DBoyWheeler?  I don't remember any from the King's Quest series.

In the way of monsters/mythical creatures KQ has never had many. I mean there was the Yeti and Abominable Snowman, the Unicorn, the elves, the dwarves, the mermaids, the flying horse in KQ2, the gnomes... Just very known ones.

Yay, it would be cool to see more creatures.
Also I'd like to see some monsters like Werewolves.
Are there going to be any crazy lil' scotish Dwarves like
on KQ II vga?
