This poll isn't very coherent...
The question is "What first attracted you to the KQ games?" so the first three options are fine, but the next two would better fit in a poll titled "how were you first introduced to KQ?". I mean, if a friend recommended a game to you, you might be more inclined to try it, but not you won't be "attracted" to it. If started playing the game after seeing a demo, it still doesn't answer the question - what attracted you when seeing the demo

Those other two options are for people who weren't initally attracted to it, but their friend was.  In most cases, people were introduced to the series by someone else and upon playing it they became addicted.  So in that sense, they weren't attracted at first.

The demo is the same idea, except instead of a person introducing you to the series, it was a game.

Thanks to KQ3, I can still spell the word 'possessions' --> "put possessions under bed"  

Maybe there should be a poll "Who learned to spell certain words just so that they could play KQ1-4?"

I think I always used the word "items" for that command.

Back in the early ninties, my grandpa had a lot of adventure games, including KQ4-7.  I would occasionaly play them or watch him play whenever I got bored at his house.  (I distinctly remember being terrified when he played Freddy Pharkus )  

Eventually, he upgraded to a new computer, and he let me take some of those old games home to use on my older machine.  So I guess I have Grandpa to thank for exposing me to this great series

Too late to vote, but what first attracted me to KQ is the same thing that keeps me panting for more:  HUMOR.

Well, for me it started when i first got my NES and i got KQ5 with it (yes there was an NES version of it and it is quite different) and remember i couldn't stop playing and then i got an issue of PC gamer with the first and it all went uphill from there.

We had it as kids (until my brother was forced to delete it for reasons I won't go into).

But when we ot our first PC, KQ7 came with it, I remembered the series (seeing as I'm a person who remembes old games strangely well), and so I purchased the collection, as well as flippin MoE which I don't know where I threw it to
