Personally, I think they should switch to .mpg format for any new video... that way people don't have to install new codecs or use the paid or spyware DiVX player. (shudder)

Erm... you do know that there's a non-spyware version as well, right? It's just the encoding application thing you need to pay/get the spyware version for. They hide the strings-free link a little but it can be found. It has the codecs and the latest player I think, though you really don't need the DivX player at all.

i had trouble with a spyware thing called i-lookup and i had to format cos spy sweeper, spybot and all of them didnt get rid of it

It's easier just to edit your registry and remove all references to things that can't be easily removed... though adaware should have picked it up...

There's also codec-packs that bundle all sorts of codecs.

and they dont come with spy-ware or ad-ware
