I don't think you guys are a sad bunch, I just seem to have joined the forums at a tough point in your lives. Or maybe I'm just not used to how women express their emotions..... (I can be a dunder-head when it comes to women, you know?  )

And about the gum-disease thing: it's an ailment that's not as bad as the term "disease" might lead you to believe. It's not anything permanent, and it's not triggered by hereditary genes or anything. I really doubt you have it (from your pictures your teeth look very clean and white!  ) It's something you get when tartar builds up between your teeth and causes inflammation of the gums. It's not something you'd normally get if you brush your teeth well; I got a mild case of it when I had braces because there were certain parts of my mouth that were blocked and hard to clean. It was just on one side of my mouth, down by the lower right molars, and the gums would bleed a bit every once in a while. I got it fixed up pretty quickly though, but not without a horrible trip to the dentist and after having to use some annoying special toothpaste that tasted like sh*t.  

Glad you're feeling a little better though, and I hope it continues to get better, despite the pain in your gums!  
(You may end up needing to get a wisdom tooth or two taken out in surgery though.  )

Oh, BTW, I was also wondering what you meant by:

And also, can you either post a piccie of you and your puppy-dogs or direct me to one that's already on the forums somewhere? I'll post one of my own dog when I get that digital camera I've been meaning to borrow!

The BAD: still feeling slightly depressed...but at least I'm not about to burst into tears like I was when I posted before.

Sorry to hear it Cat. What's so depressing though? Seems like everyone around here is feeling bad, and it's making me feel kinda bad.  
Well, I like to fancy that I have some sort of cheering effect on you guys when you're feeling down, however slight it be.

The sad thing is, I have absolutely no clue what was depressing me.  It was like I was in a little funk.  It could be that I'm just realizing how much my schedule's going to be messed up in the next few days...my conference and all.  And knowing that, unless something huge happens, I won't be spending much time here  I don't know.  But I made a phone call, and, as I said, I got cheered up really quick.  Still not perfect and perky, but not completely depressed.

lol...yeah, my conference is being held in Philadelphia.  And don't worry.  I plan on being back at least on Sun-Wed of next week.  Then it's Thanksgiving weekend, so it'll be sporatic again.  But I WILL be around for sure starting Sunday.

To Say: Very cute doggies you have there! I like their names too, especialy the husky's. Thor lol! It's an especially cute name for a puppy! Maybe if I get a male dog in the future I'll name him after your Husky. The Cocker and Poodle are cool too.

I have an English Springer Spaniel, which is the largest of the Spaniels. She's quite petit for her breed though. Her name's Sophie, and I love her to death, but she's already an old puppy; she'll be twelve in December. She's still very healthy, though. Just sleeps a lot more than she used to, but she still has puppy-like bursts of energy at times.

I went to your DeviantArt personal page and looked around a bit. You have some very nice artwork there! I have no idea how to do computer graphics art, but I am very impressed that you made those pseudo-self portraits without a photographic base. They're very nice looking, though some of them are a little sad. I like the "Mischievous" one the best of course, simply because I love a beautiful smiling face, which almost looks as pretty as your real photograph!  

I had seen one of those as someone's avatar here on the KQ9 forums. Don't remember who it was though, but he's going to have some competition from me as your new most loyal fan!   I had seen the avatar picture before and thought it resembled your posted piccies very closely, but I didn't want to make a fool of myself by mentioning it. Guess it wasn't just coincidence after all! Anyways, it goes without saying that you are very talented in computer artwork. I've never really tried it before myself...

Oh, I almost forgot. Thanks for the piccies too! I think the blowing-kiss one made me melt...

I LOVE dogs, that's why I have 3! Thor is the youngest and he's the most attached to me, Odie is the one in between he's soooooo jealous out of anything, everything... anyone lol , and falco, which used to be a brat but now is sooo cute, he's the oldest actually.

hahah a loyal fan how cute I would prefer to call you a friend anyhow! that other someone you talk about is Michael, my boyfriend, and yes, his favorite is Melancholy, that's why he used it as avatar (my favorite from all those is mischief, although teeth were... a living nightmare to do!), he adores my artwork and I really don't know why! (because I don't think it's that good to be honest) but I remember when I was working on them it was sincerely really helpful to show them to him so he would help me out how to make them more realistic looking, he could actually say how hard it was for me to get on doing those because the level of detail is as hard as how subtle you should be with the brushes. I'm really glad everyone around here seem to enjoy it and appreciate it

I'm glad you like my pictures! but truth is I don't think I'm neither cute nor pretty nor any of those, I feel soooo different from all the girls in general and girls around my age, I'm far too tall which means I'm not petite at all, I'm too into my work that means I rarely have social life as in go out and party... and many other things that really make me feel like an stranger in every single way possible

It was! I even got some student calling me today to check up on me, that was the cutest thing ever! he was calling me to see how I was doing today because he knew about my crappy day (he actually witnessed part of it) so I think that was really thoughtful of him!
