THE GOOD: I woke up this morning feeling much better and somewhat refreshed, despite a rather minimal amount of sleep last night. I think my cold is finally feeling the pangs of death!  

THE BAD: I experienced the equivalent of being fired today from my tutoring job at the local community college.  
Well, maybe more like being "laid-off". It had to do with my being unable to keep appointments and such due to an unforeseen and less-than-convenient conflict in my class scheduling. It's really quite complicated. You see, I'm juggling all my classes between two schools (the reasons for which I won't explain here), so while I have most of my classes at the college I plan to go full-time to next year, I'm also taking a few at said community college. At the C.C. I also have (or had) a tutoring job as a student worker, and though it doesn't pay great, it's enjoyable and there's a laid-back kind of atmosphere which is very nice. And there I even have access to the internet at times.
Anyways, the reason I involuntarily "quit" is that I am unable to be there for nearly half of the times set aside for private tutoring that I had earlier agreed to. This was all because of a freaking anatomy class at my other college (which, sans the following, I really don't mind) that requires tons of out-of-class laboratory projects that are only available at the most inopportune of times. The thing is, when I signed up for the class there was absolutely no indication in the course description of any kind of out-of-class lab-work!    So my choice was either between a class I need or my only current source of income; not a very comforting ultimatum, as you can see.  
My boss was cool about it though. I wasn't reprimanded and he understood the situation; and he even said I can work there again next semester if I make sure none of the classes require laboratory times that conflict with tutor scheduling.

THE GOOD from THE BAD: Okay, so now that I'm unemployed I can actually use a lot of my newly acquired free-time to catch up on school work. Hopefully I can get my parents to treat me as a charity case, too!  

As for what to do now, I have several options: I could look around for an entirely new job (which maybe won't be so hard since employment opportunities have been going up), or I could see if I can get back a decent, well-paying job I had during the summer and earlier this autumn (which I quit about a week into the semester, because it was just too much on top of class-work and the tutoring job). Or maybe I'll just take it easy for the rest of the semester and try to get my post-count to surpass Cat's before she gets back!

The Good: Recording my new album is a lot of fun.  I'm playing more piano on it, which I enjoy.  It feels good to record songs again, especially some of the ones that are a couple years old now.

The Good: I had a really nice idea for a story/screenplay that I'm working on.  It feels nice to be inspired.

The Good:  The dialogue pics for KQIII VGA are looking really good. I'm psyched.

The Bad:  I sleep like hell, and I have friggin' weird dreams.

The Bad: I'm smoking again after quitting for a while.  Time to break out the nicotine gum again - but damn, I get bored and stressed and cigarettes just take up the slack.  After the gum, I gotta invest in lollipops for that oral fixation.

things will get better at work, it sounds silly but when you are actually out of responsabilities it gives you a chance to just evaluate everything again and get into better things, think about that
