Is LCD really better than CRT? ???
I heard LCD is less tiring for the eyes, but personally didn't notice any difference when I used one. Also, the display doesn't look as 'smooth' as CRT, and you get those annoying shadows if you don't look at it at *just* the right angle :S
Maybe I'll just wait around for an OLED :P

LCD
THE GOOD=light/small

THE BAD=can't use it at an angle, fast motion blurs/lags(only the expensive ones are able to play fast paced games ;P ), more expensive

CRT
THE GOOD=can be used at an angle, less expensive

THE BAD=heavy/bulky

As for the way images look on them, I think it's a matter of preference. ;P

P.S. All I have said, is based on old information. It might not all be true anymore. :P

That's not much of a factor, unless you move your screen around a lot... Flat or not, a computer screen is pretty stationary, so weight doesn't really matter. And bulk only matters if you're really tight for space on your desk ;)

If you don't move your monitor around a lot, then the whole "angle visibility" argument isn't a factor either. ;P

Two big LCD advantages in my area.

LAN parties ( LAN parties abound ) . :P

Trying to squeeze every last cm of space out of a small area. ;P

Yeah, as long as you don't move your head around too much either ;)

My digital LCD is great, and it doesn't have a problem with the viewing angle at all...

You probably mean it's got a DVI-connection to the computer, because AFAIK every LCD monitor is digital by default. :scholar:

My LCD is great  ;D

And no I don't use DVI at the moment, haven't gotten around to getting the adapter. 16ms hardly any ghosting in most games, and overall much easier on the eyes.

Adapter? Didn't need it, just plug one side of the cable into the DVI-outlet of the monitor, the other side into the DVI-outlet of the monitor-card and there ya go. 8)
