I disagree. I've thought with that logic before. "If you expect the worst, you never get dissapointed." The thing is, even when good things happen, you never fully enjoy them, because you expect it to get worse. If you're optimistic, and bad things happen, you believe that things WILL get better, and that gives you the strength needed to carry on through icky times of doom.
