I read "The Time Traveler's Wife," which I detested. Now I am reading all my books for English class ("Hamlet," "The Norton Anthology of Literature") so that I can cut down on some homework during the year. Believe me, I did the same thing last year, and it works. It also makes writing literary essays much easier.

Rosella's was probably abridged.  The other day, on a whim, (I guess it's also partly because I saw 'V For Vendetta'...) I bougth a copy at a use bookstore.  But, the 3 copies they had were abridged and ranged from 450-500 pgs.

Michael's is abridged too. The Count of Monte Cristo is, I believe, around 1300 pages.

So, Michael, it's less than 100 pages. No big deal.
