Although having released two full length albums and two EP's before, this bar far has to be their first critical and personal success for the band.  Not only that, it is likely their most influential album.  Although "Superunknown" sold more albums, Badmotorfinger broke new musical ground with songs such as "Rusty Cage" (which the legendary Johnny Cash covered) and "Jesus Christ Pose".  It also allowed them to break free of the stigmas related to the Seattle grunge scene.
