*Puts Magic want to throat to amplify voice* May I have your attention please! I will be sending my letter to VUG later today! It is already in the envelope, already signed, I just have to seal it in, drop it in the mail box, and then wait for a reply. If I get any worthwhile reply, I will post it. If it is all old information, I won't bother posting anything. We will see what happens! Thank you for your time and attention!  ;)

Edit: Forum Stretching

The 1997 colleciton is my connection to KQ. I think I might buy it again, because most of the discs are scratched to oblivion.

But perhaps this new collection can help me out.  :)

The letter has been sent, and I will be waiting for a reply for approximately two months now. And I wouldn't suggest ordering these new compilations just yet, we don't know the real deal about them just yet. VG is hiding something... And that is Dance Dance Daventry! XD

So I am wondering what will happen first, a response to your letter, or the release of TSL.  Frankly I am looking forward to TSL much more than the compilation.  And given VU's track record, the response is scheduled for some time in 2007.......

Did you try to play and beat it with the latest patch.  Fortunately, I did not seem to have very many problems after I patched the game.  However, I did not view MOE as a true KQ game.
I never had any problems, apart from the unbearably long wait at the end of each land.

Well, I am enjoying the Roberta Williams Anthology and have recently replayed and beaten KQ5 and KQ6 again.  I think I will play KQ7 next and then either start from KQ1-KQ4 or KQ4-KQ1.   :)
I still wonder about the new KQ collection and if it will add anything compared to previous collections.

Hmmm, both dates set are for the first week of August. I wonder if that is when VG will allow TSL to be released...

I don't know. Amazon is the same as always! I don't think that's it. And besides, I don't even think VG has looked at it yet, besides the demo they got. The game hasn't even been beta-tested! I would think that when the game is beta-tested and all that, then maybe, but I don't believe for now.

You know, the compilation is beginning to become more elusive than the loch ness monster and big foot combined: Often mentioned, but never captured on film *ahem* (box artwork would be nice to bolster my faith in it's existence).  So far the only images of it have turned to actually be blurry images of weather satellites......

But there were pictures taken of what was mistaken to be the loch-ness monster :P (the whole monster story was a sham, it was just someone in a submarine)

:)

dark-daventry

Unfortunately, there were delays. It was slated for October 11th, then Januray 30th, then march 31st, and now december 31st. I don't know why this has happened, but I have asked this in my letter to VG. I am waiting for a reply that probably won't come! I hope this helps!

You might be right. I don't know...

EDIT:  This is from CD Universe: Vivendi Games and Sierra Entertainment have bundled seven of their popular KING’S QUEST games together into the KINGS QUEST COMPILATION for the PC. Gamers can now step into a magical world full of adventure and fun without purchasing each installment separately. The collection includes KINGS QUEST I through KINGS QUEST VII. Each of the games features a full storyline and adventure full of interesting characters and challenges. The first KINGS QUEST stars Sir Graham, a brave knight on a quest to retrieve three magical artifacts in order to win the crown of King Edward the Benevolent. All of the games take place in the same world, although players won’t always play the same character. KINGS QUEST IV, for example, puts gamers in the role of Rosella, the daughter of King Graham (the same Graham from the first game). Rosella must journey through the land in search of a magical fruit to cure her father. She and her mother Queen Valanice then return in KINGS QUEST VII, and this time players will take turns controlling the brave women as they try to escape from a magical land. Getting to see the development of the characters over time is one of the highlights of the KINGS QUEST COMPILATION. Gamers looking for a collection full of adventure, magic, and wonderful characters need look no further than the KINGS QUEST COMPILATION. Players will get lost for hours in this magical world as they battle the forces of evil.

And the following is also: Includes seven complete games; Get a preview of KINGS QUEST: Mask of Eternity; Includes three other games: THE COLONEL’S BEQUEST, THE DAGGER OF AMON RA, and MIXED-UP MOTHER GOOSE.

This is also: SPACE QUEST COMPILATION by Sierra and Vivendi Games for the PC takes some of the most beloved and classic Space Quest games and combines them into one package. The original Space Quest was a fun and exciting game that combined the interesting aspects of science fiction with the offbeat humor and parody style that was to become the series’ trademark. Many of the follow up games that were released kept in this same genre and style of gaming to make for hours of innocent fun as players reconnect with this enthralling series that first captured them fifteen years ago. However, SPACE QUEST COMPILATION will also be a treat for those players who have never had the chance to play the games before. Before long players of all ages will find out what it means to go out on a Space Quest.

And so is this: POLICE QUEST COMPILATION by Vivendi Universal and Sierra Online for the PC takes players behind the scene as they try to unravel various cases as they look at all the evidence and piece it all together. The collection offers players a chance to play five different games under a single package: POLICE QUEST: Open Season, POLICE QUEST 2: The Vengeance, POLICE QUEST 3: The Kindred, POLICE QUEST: In Pursuit of the Death Angel, and POLICE QUEST: SWAT. In each of these games players will need to put together their cases using clues provided to them, the rules and regulations, and the proper police procedures. Gamers must manage to do all of this while still maneuvering around the constructs of the game. The variety of games offers players the chance to work their way through thirty different objectives. However, players don’t have to traverse through all of these POLICE QUESTS on their own. If they choose, they can easily allow for up to three players with the multiplayer online feature that will give them hours of enjoyable Internet play. With the rising popularity of crime dramas, gamers have been asking for something to experience these unfolding cases on their own, and POLICE QUEST COMPILATION answers these demands head on. Because it is an extensive collection of games that provide players with many different options and missions, players will wonder how they ever managed to play without it before. That is what makes the game a must have edition for adventure gamers.

And this: Five different games; Online multiplayer mode; Thirty different cases to solve.

That's about what I can gather for the moment!
