Why does everyone hate Connor so?

I don't even think connor is a continuation of the KQ tradition. I just could not get to believe WHAT a major BLUNDER sierra had done. And I can't even believe it now...

well, don't be so hard on him, I know KQ8 was some sort of like... I don't know, like a black dot in a white space or something, but right now he's part of the story like it or not I guess?  :-/

About Connor... the KQ8 itself wasn't so bad, not as famous as the previous KQ's, or perhaps not a favorite among the fans, but I'm not the only freak around here, people liked it, not as much as it should but some did

As I've said before, now he's just part of it like it or not I guess, he was the hero on KQ8 even though he was the weirdest thing that ever happened to KQ so...

Besides, learn to live with it he'll be part of this KQ too, even though Cesar hates him so much as you all see

And please don't hate Connor so bad! I'm working on that dude right now...

 KQ8 was a good game. Like all the other KG games it was full of Morales. Like, "Violence solves everything" and... and... well okay thats the only one.  

 But really, can you blame Conner for this? Instead of a hat witha feather in it , a talking owl, and a blue cape, he was given a Sword and a suit of armor. Things requiring a lot of thought, like pointing and clicking, or, uhg, puzzle-solving, was too much for him. If I remember his best moments was when he 'found a switch... or that matter when he found the door the switch was attached to.

Really, I think the only real problem with Conner was KQ8. If the game had any other name than Kings Quest, It would have been a better game... not that anyone would have bought it

Maybe it's not so much Connor that people don't like, but the format of KQ8 - it is quite a bit different than the earlier stories.  Not that it wasn't good (I liked it, anyway), but it is much different than what the fans were used to.

oh excellent, since this is an open place for free speech it's ok you hate KQ8, this place is flooded with people perhaps many thing like you, but as Cesar said is a reality the fact KQ8 was a sequel of KQ series, so I'm sorry good or bad game, he is part of the gaming so far and that's why they decided to incorporate it into a new story being this KQ9
and I know is not about hating connor itself but even more than the story developed into the game itself, not for kqfans ok I know, but you sounded so much into connor as to buy that what you said.
Besides this being a different KQ, is obvious we do all our artwork and there is no way to compare it with the previous ones, different years and techonology to be made, different stories as well, so it has to look "different", we do hope for the best.

In response to Storm, I think you would be ugly too if you were made with such a low number of polygons!  

Well I think the fans will slowly begin to appreciate Connor as the newsletters progress and play KQ9.  In the end you may even realize that Mask of Eternity actually had a purpose and not criticize the game as much but we'll have to see that when the time comes.
