The verb is is a linking verb: the pronoun me was acting as a predicate nominative which is a grammatical impossibility because me is an objective pronoun. The pronoun must be I (the nominative pronoun) to fulfill the case requirements of the function.

Yeah, Deloria and Delling are correct. Most forms of "to be" are linking verbs.

Note: Out of all of the things I like about grammar, you can't find that particular rule.

Also note: And yes, I know that doesn't excuse me from following it.

Also also note: But gah! It's hard when my internal grammar sensors don't go off.

That usage would still mandate "I do not have any of that money here."

It certainly does not require the use of a double negative.
