But that would involve quadruple posting and chances are, my posts would just get merged and the old ones deleted  :-\ so it wouldn't do much for my post count, which is half the reason I correct people to begin with. :P

If that won't happen, I'll be more than happy to, though. :)

I know I've done it time and time again myself, but it recently started bothering me so I'm going to start reprimanding anyone who ends their sentances with prepositions.

And "Do as I." might work better than "Do like me." :P

You say this to a person(and forum) that uses words like teh and adds s to plural words? There isn't any sport in shooting a sitting duck. ;)
I'm correcting grammar for the sake of doing so and my post count. :P More the latter than the former, though. At least "teh" is done on purpose whereas you might really not have known that it shouldn't have been "like me". ;)

Delling

Would you say "I was that" or "me was that"?

The point is that if you want to know if you're using the correct pronoun for your predicate nominative, try using it as the subject.
Noli me tangere! Nescio ubi fuisti!
Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!

Marquess of Pembroke
Duke of Saxony in Her Majesty's Court
Knight of the Swan for Her Imperial Highness

...resistance was obviously useless against a family that could invent italics.

"Let the locative live."

You're not helping your case any, you know that? :P

Words of advice: if you wouldn't post it if the forum lacked post counts, odds are you shouldn't post it(this also helps keeping you off Spamwatch). :P
First of all, if you want me to stop posting, you should say so outright and not "subtly" hint at it.

Then, who's to say I would stop posting if the forum lacked post counts? I'd probably merely correct grammar far less than I do now.

Kids play nice, now!

I am positive Anna will keep this in mind, and if it becomes such a hassle, everyone is aware of SpamWatch, so no need to make a big deal out of it :P.

Thank you Anna for keeping English right (to be honest I do *hate* typos myself as well!) I appreciate the love and consideration you guys put into this forum, either for the sake of just posting or because you want to write down a lengthy letter about cookies. And thank you Dan for keeping the forums organized, I do know I give you guys a hard time with your work sometimes and I am glad you do it after all :P

So, I believe it would be a lot easier for Anna to just copy paste all the things you want to correct into a window (with quotes tags and all) write down the post over a little text window or something and then just copy paste it in this thread, rather than reply on every single thread (well I think it would be easier). Either way, if it is not possible and mods seem to be unable to keep up with it feel free to just adapt SpamWatch as convenient. No biggie there, I believe :)

Now, you all may continue with the grammar discussion :P

I have such a noob question myself btw and I would like to figure it out, when I grew up with ESL I picked up the famous "me" mistake instead of using "I". Just when I was being trained as a business coach, I took the time to read about grammar and such even though it wasn't my own field.

I just wonder why something like "Not me" should be like "Not I", is it because a verb is supposed to modify it?

Does anyone here speak french btw? I wish I had continued learning it when I could. Even though it is almost impossible to catch on for newbies like me :P
