This isn't exactly fanfiction, in fact it can hardly be called such, but this is the only literary section of the forum, so I'm just going to post it here, unsure of where to put it... It's an original story I made up from my own creative mind that is in no way related to King's Quest or Video games....

Anyway, this book I'm currently writing is entitled Dreamers, and I'll post the intro for you all...

We are the dreamers. We defend the world in which you dream. The nightmares you haven’t had since you were a child, are our responsibility. We protect your dreams from the harmful chaos that could ensue them. Our job is to ensure that everyone sleeps peacefully. At night, we enter the Dream World for our routine check. We don’t dream in this world, we live in it. While in it, our energy is restored, so when we awake, we have had a full night’s rest. Our job could be considered the most powerful responsibility in the universe. Besides that of God. If everyone had nightmares, then no one would sleep right. Some people could get insomnia from the nightmares. They could be too scared of a nightmare to sleep. Our job is to ensure that doesn’t happen. We enter your dreams, but you don’t know we are there. We are cloaked, so to speak. We can turn ourselves invisible within the dream, or we can take on the form of someone in the dream. We roam the dreams of those who sleep and scare away those nasty nightmares. The kids of reality are the only people who experience nightmares. Or at least that’s what we try to have happen. It’s part of growing up. We need kids to experience nightmares as it helps prepare them for a possible future. A dream and a nightmare are what your mind thinks of while you sleep, and can occasionally represent a possible future. We stop kids from having nightmares if they have too many. Nightmares are essentially an entire living being that exists within the Dream World. The Dream World can be considered an Internet, except it’s made up of all the human minds in the world. There is legend of a Dream World comprised of all the beings of the universe. It is believed to be the home of the Prince of Dreams. He is our leader. He sends us commands of what to do every night. There is a list of people we must each visit, and he supplies it for us. There is no known entry into his domain, but we believe one day we will find it…

What do you think?

*sounds like a book I was going to write*
Great minds must think alike!

It sounds good. You could vary your sentence structure but besides that....Thumbs up!

Looking forward to the next installment.

It's only a work in progress, but you are right! My sentence structure could be loads better! I also have a few other books... And yes, great minds do think alike... I think...  :P

Ya know, I am a strong dreamer. I have very unique dreams. I usually remember my dreams. I have intense dreams, and sometimes I talk in my sleep, and move around in my sleep. I do not sleepwalk though. I had dreams about King's Quest before. I like the idea of people guiding and protecting other's dreams.

Thanks! It's up to about nine pages or so... I also have a book in 90's area. The sad part is that I lost a whole ten page ending, so I have to re-write the end! It's so evil!

That's pretty good!
I do have to agree with AAAP though about the sentence structure.

Thanks! I do realize that my sentence structure isn't too good! Then again, it's only a work in progress! XD

Well the concept is good, all it will take is practice on the sentence structure. I used to have the same problem. :P

I think it just happens by growing up, doesn't it? I wrote a book a while ago that was practically  a stab at Captain Underpants, and it was just plain horrible. I've grown up since then, and do much better books by now!

It's more about writing everything than growing up. I've known some very young writers who blew me away completely, and some old ones who should find a new profession. :P

You already have the makings of a good writer, so as long as you keep it up you will continue to get better. :D

Who the heck is Captain Underpants? Sounds funny. have you ever heard of a book called Eragon, by Christopher Paolini? it's about a teenage boy in a magical, fantasy world who finds a dragon's egg. The dragons in it are so cool. Christpher Paolini is younger than me, (I'm 25) and he has a book out. Makes me so jealous. I must get to work on my novel. It has dragons in it, and the dragons are the good guys.

Knowing how well you write, I can't wait to see your book on the bestsellers list in the NYT first place for two months! I am writing too many books to count! (Literally, you can't count them on ten fingers! I swear, it's more than ten, at least!) Dreamers is only one of many. Another one, up to almost 90 pages is my favorite, called Guardian Angel.
It's about a girl who finds out that she is the last of the guardian Angels, and must defeat the devil. It's a good book, and I am already working on the sequal. I desparetely wish to discuss it, but I cannot. But I will say this: She is the last Guardian Angel, but the first Hybrid angel. A hybrid angel is one who posses both sides of power. In simpler terms, she is neither angel nor demon. She is both, at once. She can wield both powers at once, wind and fire. And in order to save earth, she must give the ultimate sacrifce. And she does this, bluh bluh bluh... And thus starts Guardian Angel 2, which revolves artound a much different storyline, in a world so much different than ours, but at the same time, was  our world at one point in time. It's very difficult to explain.
Enjoy!
