The Bioware guys really are geniuses. Boo wasnt the only thing. They had some excellent/clever quests. Does anyone remember the "apprentice is a chicken" quest? I thought it was hillarious. ((BG1)) :)

Don't remember that particular quest. But many of them were hilarious. But BG2 is much better than BG1 when it comes to funny quests and dialogue, but that makes sense considering how wet behind the ears they were concerning RPGs when they made BG1. :)

I own BG2, I just can't get up the nerve to start it. Also, I had wanted to re-do BG1 so I had a fresh character to import. I guess I'll try and do that sometime Summer.  8)

You're missing out. I've probably completed BG2 a few dozen times atleast. Gets funnier every time. :D

Wow. My uncle has too. I just dont know how ya'll find the follow through to complete it so many times. Ive only played through BG1 the once, as a Ranger.

I'm thinking this next time, I'll try a mage. I hear the "Summon Planar" spell is pretty impressive. Of course, then there is "Time Stop"... *shivers*

Honestly the game just never wears out it's welcome. I've found myself starting it over as soon as I had completed it. :)

That sounds familiar. Been too long though.

I would suggest buying the guides too because there are soooo many sides quests that it's easy to miss some.

Well with BG2 there are some different side quest depending on your class. The romances are funny too.

Merlin did you ever download the patch the designer made to make it super hard and to set it the way they intended in stead of the "easy" way that it came out?

I agree. Diablo2 type, hack n' slash, just seem to be missing something. I prefer rich storylines to my RPGs. Baldur's Gate is the obvious example.

Exactly. To me Diablo's have no plot and BG's are rich with it, and therefor alot better.

Yes. Though as I recall it was actually several patches. Made for an interesting challenge. 8)

Agreed, though I do admit that the end of Diablo was very interesting and unexpected. The only time I remember yelling at my computer "NO! Don't do it." hehe The rest was just Blaaa. :P

I guess, to be fair, Diablo 2 had incredible replay value. Especially if you desired to complete all three levels of difficulty.

Also, the Archangel Tyrael is just plain cool. Blizzard really does amazing cinematics.

I love Diablo 2! Though probably has something to do with the fact that I have fond memories of playing it with my sister and father till 2 in the morning... back when I though staying up till 2 in the morning was of itself exciting and an adventure. XD

I also really like Dungeon Siege.. though the part I really liked about it was keeping up with everbody's gear and armor and organizing all that more than the actual quests or fighting. :P

My brother tried to get me into Diablo and Baldur's Gate... but it didn't take.  :-\

Never played Diablo 2 as I wasn't to fond of D1.

I did play Dungeon Siege and probably got through 2/3 of it before quiting. I just didn't like it, not enough story.

Yeah, I got maybe, 1/10 of the way through Dungeon Siege and stopped. There was just something 'empty' about it. Maybe just my opinion...  :P

Right. And while your at it, play Chrono Trigger, if you havnt. Kind of a different thing, atleast compared to QfG and BG, but wonderful overall plot.  8)

Nah, Dungeon Siege is a poor excuse for an RPG. Never did understand why it's so popular. :P
