I have so got to see Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I've never seen it. I saw Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" and it was really perverted, but a friend told me most Monty movies are not that crude. I'll look for it in video stores. Anyone have some good, original ideas for the plot.

Ok, here's the story:


It was a lovely, sunny Spring day in the kingdom of Daventry. King Graham walked down the stairs with his queen, Valanice, to enter the dinning room for breakfast. Rosella came out of her room and met them in the dining room.

Valanice went forward and hugged her. "I'm so glad your back, Rosella." she said.

"It's good to be back home, mother. "Etheria is beautiful, but I was getting homeseick for Daventry."

Rosella hugged Graham, and they sat down at the table.

The other lords and laides of the castle arrived at the table for breakfast. Lord Theodore, King Graham's chief adviser sat on Graham's left side while Valanice and Rosella sat to his right.

"Milord, I here the cook has been preparing special dishes to celebrate the princess's return."

"Good. Ol' Ozzy sure can cook up a storm."

A messenger entered the room, bowed before the king, and showed him a sealed letter. "Your highness, this letter has arrived from your son, King Alexander today."

Graham took the letter and opened it. Valanice looked at the letter eagerly, but waited until Graham was done reading it beofre she asked him about it.

"Alexander says Alhazared's trial was a success, he was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in the castle dungeons. His coronation will take place in a week, and he wishes for us to be there." Graham passed the letter to Valanice so she could read it.

Rosella smiled. "I can't wait to see Alexander again."

"Yes, I think we should all attend. Although King Calliphim unofficially retired and declared Alexander and Cassima king and queen after their wedding, there has yet to be a formal coronation to seal it."  

"I wouldn't dream of missing my son's coronation." said Graham. "Theodore can take care of things in Daventry while we're gone. It feels so good to have things back to normal after that disaster with the Mask.

The servants brought in the food, pancakes with whipcream and strawberries, orange juice, coffee and some bacon on the side. The royal family dug in, along with the lords and ladies and officials who ate with them. All seemed well in Daventry Castle, for the moment that is.

No, Storm, sorry, didn't mean to confuse you. I'm not finnished with that story. It's titled, "The Crystal Dragon's Tale" How original of me.  I'm about halfway done with that story, and it's going to be closed fanfic, in other words, I'm the only writer. BTW good job on joining the story, your last post blends in perfectly with what I wrote.

I don't want to seem to harsh. You are welcome to join the story, as is everybody. Try to find  a place you fit in and write something. I hope I can get more people to join the story.

Ok Shalie, is in the forest....hiding up a tree. She is the silent observer of the whole scene. (I'll tell you how she got there later).

Bewildered and heart thumping, Sharlie clung to the branches of the Bong tree. She had no idea where she was! One minute she was walking along the serene wood - surrounded path to the village in Lewdor..and..now........!    
Finding herself in unfamiliar territory, she nibly darted up a nearby tree so she could gather her wits in safety.
The tree she clung to was cold and so smooth, that it was all she could do to stop herself sliding down its purple trunk.
There was a slight fragrance in the air, that only a magic forest can provide. Far below she could hear disstressed voices.............

On another world, a dark sun shone on the silver-green scales of a huge dragon. The dragon was perched at the edge of a tall cliff, overlooking a valley.
Like the rest of that world, which was formerly known as Elysia, the valley was dark and devoid of life. No plants or animals were to be found there, and the soil and rocks were blackened, as if scorched by a tremendous flame. Above, dark clouds floated in the crimson sky like a bad omen.

Suddenly the dragon shuddered, then streched her long neck toward the sky, as if she was looking for something. The dragon was old, and the scars of many battles showed on her body. Her black wings where badly torn, almost enough to keep her from flight, but her amber eyes sparkled with vengence.

"Soon" she gasped in a croocked voice, startling the creature that stood next to her "soon I will have my day again." her head turned toward the creature. His name was Glart, and he was a little demon who worshipped her and obeyed her in everything.
"I can feel it. My dear sister that trapped me here, it this lifeless world - ironic that she will be the one to set me free! only she can once again lift the veil that keeps me here" the dragon grinned painfully "and once she does, she will not even know it. Then I will hunt her down and destroy her... "

Suddenly, a shimmering light appeared in the air in front of her, growing bigger until it was as large as a doorway.

"The portal!" called out the dragon, and raised her taloned hand in front of it, making a complicated gesture and whispering word in an ancient language. The portal grew even larger, and its brim became darker, until it was almost black.
"That would keep it from closing" said the dragon contentedly "Well, Glart, would you like to try it first?".

OOC: Storm, you're an excellent writer. That fits perfectly with the story I'm about to write. Back to the story....

Without thinking, Sarah plunged into the dark woods, to aid the fallen rider of the horse. Lord Attis called out to her and followed her into the woods.

Sarah found a man standing on the path in the wood of the werefolk, sword drawn. He wore light armor and a long black cloak.  She was certain this was the man that the horse had abandoned.

The warrior scolwed, making his weather-beaten face seem more wrinkled, and advanced on her.

"You're the one whose doing this, I know it. You have the strange clothes of an outlander. I'll stop this magic for good...." Moranas prepared to run her through with his sword.

"Wait! I come here to help you..." Sarah ducked as he swung at her. The mercenary eyed the book she clutched in her arms with suspision and hatred.

"It was an accident I didn't mean to hurt anyone... Eeeekk!" She jumped backward and dodged his blows.

"Cowardly witch, stand still so I can whack you..." Moranas growled. Just then a ball of dazzling light hurled him to the ground, further on the path.

"Knave, have you know honor? Only a villain would attack an unarmed maiden." Lord Attis entered the woods. He had thrown the energy ball in defense of Sarah.

As Moranas got to his feet, the low growling in the woods grew louder, and turned into a roar. A fierce wearbear emerged from the tangled trees and decended upon the quarreling humanoids.....

As always BloodyHonor was up to no good, this time he was gambling with 3 gnome travelers that were passing by near the dark woods.
Gnome1: "Ok, I bet you didn't expect this *shows his cards* 4 kings! hehe I win!"
Bloody: "Not so fast little fella"
Gnome1: "what? I am taller then you."
Bloody: "Well yes... but that's what professionals say... any way *shows cards* 5 aces, well well what do you know? I win again! hehe *grabbing the pile of silver coins*"
Gnome2: "Oh Nuts! How does he do that?"
Gnome3: "Wait a second! There are only 4 aces in a deck! he is cheating!"

As Bloody Heard those words he grabbed his bow and the sack of silver coins and ran into the dark woods hoping he could hide there.
Bloody ran as fast as he could in the woods till suddenly he saw a huge man with a sword attacking a pretty lady. Oh no! A damsel in distress! Hmm I bet I'd get a kiss or 2 for saving her , thought to him self bloody. He pooled out his bow and knocked down an arrow starting to aim at the man's head.
Just then he saw a big flash of light following by a scary roar. Bloody lose control of his bow and accident fired the arrow aiming a bit higher then the man's head. After that he heard a loud scream from the direction of the growling.
Hey the story also blended good with my female loving personality

The werebear screamed, and it's growlings turned into a loud whine. It ran off back into the thicket, the arrow still pretruding from it's shoulder.
"You've saved my life!! MY HERO!!!" exclaimed Moranas as he jumped to his feet and grabbed the little man, swinging him up in the air and giving him two rather-noisy kisses.

(Sorry. You were just asking for it, you sexist b******)

Bloody didn't really like the Idea of being so high above the ground and to top it he got kissed by a MALE human!
"*tpoo* *tpoo* get a  hold of your self will ya! bah!"
Bloody jumped down holding his bow and bowing at the same time (kinda like the cheesy entrance of those would be heroes).
"Let me introduce my self, I am BloodyHonor...YES! This is my name!! Now you probably heard of me before so why wont you just let me rescue this pretty lady with out a fight."
Before Moranas could talk back to him, bloody just walked passed him and towards Sarah.
"Well hello there, guess I am your Knight in Shiny armor... But we will have to do with Talented Guy in Leather armor. Now what about giving a kiss to the guy that saved you huh?"
With out waiting bloody leaned his head towards Sarah closing his eyes and making a kiss shape with his mouth

Sarah just couldn't help herself. Her hand shot up in the air almost by itself and landed with a resounding "Smack!" straight across Bloody's face.

"Get away from me, you little creep!" she said with contempt "I can handle myself quite..."  The words froze on her lips as she felt the icy touch of Moranas's blade on her throat. While her guard was dropped, he managed to lift his sword and was now holding where he could take her life with a single twitch of his wrist.

"Stop!!!" Lord Ettis said, readying another ball of energy in his hand. Then he continued in a calmer voice "I suggest we all leave these woods before that monster returns. That arrow wouldn't keep him away for long... unless it was silver-tipped"

"Yeah, I'm just about to get out of here" Moranas said, trying not to look at Sarah's terrified face "the moment I slay this witch, I'll go right back to... "
The middle of the desert without a horse?

Moranas contemplated that for a moment, then relaxed his hand a little, pulling the sword away from Sarah's neck but still leaving it dangerously close "Alright. Take me to the nearest town or village and I'll spare the witch's life. I'm even willing to overlook your insolence in trying to attack me".

Attis was moving the glowing enery ball from hand to hand menacingly "Very well. Withdraw your sword then".

oh and I am tring to add a bit of humor to the story so please...

As Ceres and Attis came back Bloody was still held by his belt by Moranas
"Ok show's over, let me go now"
As you wish replied Moranas and dropped bloody to the ground
"Ouch! Not that way! ... Oh never mind so what's going on here? And who are you... *mumbles* err my pretty lady?"
Bloody quickly moved to wards Shalie and whispered in her ear "You know, a guy like me could have easily slain that beast for you, too bad big guy over here dragged me out of the battle"
Shalie just stood there looking at bloody with a strange examining look. Bloody looked around trying to see why she looks towards him like that "What? Oh is it because of my height? Come on! I am 3 feet tall! That's higher then any halfing you'll ever meet, and by the way you know what they say about little guys, right? That little guys have b..."
Just before Bloody could finish his sentence Moranas put his hand on Bloody's mouth "Ok, we got the picture. Now show me the way to the nearest village"

I have no problems with the previous posts, but the fight didn't go quite the way I planned it. I'm glad you all have posted so much while I was gone. Sorry for my long absense. I'll be posting in about an hour or two.

Sarah's glare softened a bit when she looked at Bloody.

"I supose I should thank you for saving my life. But don't expect any kisses. As for you..." she turned to Moranas. "You tried to kill me without even knowing who I was! Once I develope my powers enough, I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget."

Moranas returned her angry look. "And you caused me a lot of trouble with your damn magic. I hate magic users, but I fear no one. Now where is the nearest village?"

Attis pointed to the north. "Falderal is that way, but it is a town ruled by animals. You won't find much help there."

"Animals! Just my luck to escape from the desert and find myself in this neck of the woods, filled with beasts and witches." Moranas grumbled.

"Ceres, Attis, thank you for helping me. You saved us all from that bear." Sarah said to the lord and lady of the wood. "And who are you?" she asked Shalie.

"My name is Shalie. I am also talented with magic." She replied.

Sarah suddenly gasped and clutched her head.

"What is it, what's happening?" Ceres asked her.

"Pain...terrible pain, a great evil is coming to the land. Some master of darkness has escaped from her prison. I....I think I put her there."

"Do you know who this master of darkness is?" Attis asked.

"It happened long before I was born....I think she is a relative of mine."

Moranas sneared. "More trouble, more evil magic.  I had it with your spells and portals. I'm out of here." He stomped off in the direction of Falderal.

"Hey, I'd be happy to fight the evil with you." Bloody offered.

"Oh, alright. I must figure out what to do." Sarah said.

Ceres looked back at the border of the wood of the werefolk. "At least we are safe for now."

Sorry, I didn't realize you have a plan about what should happen... next time let me know and I wouldn't make them all run like cowards from a potentially-bonding experience  

Anyway, I think my version sort of explains why Attis couldn't help Valanice cross the woods in KQ7 (I only thought about it later, it wasn't intentional or anything).
