I've just uploaded the first installment of a fanfiction I'm working on.  I've called it Saladin's Quest: Middle of No Were (not sic).  To provide a summary, Captain Saladin must venture to a foreign land to find some way to stop a sickness that originated from it and plagued the Green Isles.  He is the only one not affected by it, and he will eventually find out why.

I typically don't make my fanfictions public, so any constructive criticism is welcome.

The installment can be found here:

I've just uploaded the second installment, it can be found here:

The third's on the way.

Your story's looking good so far. I haven't read a good KQ fan fiction in a long time. I created a little story about Saladin once...a story within one, actually.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it.  Perhaps you could post your story too.

Akril

I did, in the other thread on this board. You'll have to dig for it, though.

Looking forward to your next installment.  It's a pretty good story, I can't wait to see what happens next...

Mikazo

Thanks for keeping up with it.  :>  I'm on vacation, and I'll probably write more when I get back.  I'm getting some ideas from being away though.

Finally got around to finishing the fifth installment.  Mostly action, but I'm getting into plot soon.  Suggestions are always welcome.

Awesome work! it was nice and exciting. I only wish Saladin could have freed all the other prisoners in the dungeons, but then I guess that they would all just get caught again by the guards. I hope that somehow they are able to explain the bishop's treachery to the king, and free the poor citizens of the city from his reign of terror.

How about if the sorcerer who sent the plague is working with the bishop? Put some intrigue and double-dealings into it. You could have Saladin fall in love with a feamle werewolf, but that might be too mushy. Maybe the prisoner who helps Saladin could join him on his quest.

Cool!  Thanks for reading it, and getting into it.  Positive comments are unfortunately underused, but it's the best thing a non-published writer can ever get.

I have some other ideas I'm considering as well, but I'll still take the suggestions in mind.

Ooh... hrmm.  Actually, I looked over my story earlier and noticed that too.  So I'll fix it, don't worry. ;)

*nods*  Well, I've been meaning to add more females anyway... probably the reason it's so "male-biased" is because being a guard captain, Saladin will naturally want to keep company more with other warriors, so while there are female fighters and assassins, most of the fighters that end up helping Saladin will end up being male.

You're a good writer too Akril, so I'm somewhat honored to see you like it.  And yeah, macabre... I could second that.  Sometimes I wondered if I was pushing it a bit or if I should've put up some warnings or something.  But I figure too, since Saladin's a guard captain, he will be spending a great deal of time fighting his way through obstacles, and the horrors of war know few ends.

Mikazo

Sorry?
I noted that I accepted suggestions, and considering that's all you did, I don't really see anything to apologize for.
I'll give your story a look when you post it too.  Sounds interesting.

Rosedragon

Thanks. I appreciate it that you like my sugestions. Now I have to think about ending my story. Hm, what should I do with Manannan?
