Will there be any shadows in the game? If so, could you at some stage post screen shots with shadows?

The Knight:
I would have to guess there would be.  It seems that they are going for a high quailty game.  So I highly doubt there won't be shadows.

I heard that there would be shadows, yes. After all, everything else is in there except for the kitchen sink (or maybe even). The 3d look might be a bit odd without shadows.

scorp007:
yeah, I was just wondering if they purposely turned them off for some testing purposes. I too doubt it will lack shadows.  I'd like to see some screenshots with the shadows intact if its possible. The game sounds and looks great already, although I've never played a 3D adventure game with no combat before, so I wonder what it'll be like and if it'll work.

Scorp: Give Grim Fandango, Escape From Monkey Island, and Gabriel Knight 3 a try.

Monkey Island.  WE LOVE MONKEYS!  IMO, I thought EFMI was a great game.  I only wish it had been Point and click interface.  It would have worked perfectly.

Yes, p&c rules! MI4 had me bumping into rocks and arriving in the wrong screens all the time because the friggin' MI map was too small and I couldn't p&c.
Besides, I thought I (once upon a time) read a post on the old forum saying shadows would be implemented into the finished game. So there!

scorp007:
ok, thanks for letting me know. I never saw the original forums, only found out about the game a few days ago.

The Knight:
If you haven't already.  You should read the Inventory, issue 7.  You can get it at www.justadventure.com

Yeah, there will definitely be shadows, texturing and fog/smoke in the game.  I asked a similar question a while back and he said that the team would rather get all the backgrounds done first before adding those "finishing touches".

Thanks for the confirmation, Yonkey. Hope all goes well
