contestants and judges sign up by sunday 8/30/06 by noon EST.  limit to 4 judges, counting me.    contestants, please post files of you singing (multiple entries permitted).  then the judges will vote for the winner.  if youd like to change something, just say so.  it could happen.

I almost always sing into a laptop mic! And the problem is that the FILE is on my laptop.

Why don't you just buy an actual microphone?  They aren't very expensive.

Because that would involve either HAVING money and convincing my parents to take me to circuit city or whatever, or convincing my parents to go to Circuit City and buy it FOR me.

Considering your mom likes your singing, convincing them shouldn't be that difficult.   And like I said, I found a really decent Sony one for $20 which is probably $15 USD, but you could get an even more basic one for $10 USD or less.
