So when can I apply for beta-testing?  ;D
You can apply when we're ready.   :suffer:

Ooooh! Beta testing! I'm currently doing two (well one kinda since the other one is almost finished), looking forward to see if I can do another! ;D

Of course, my system is more on the high end, so it'll see how well KQIX runs on a suped up machine. :D I'll also test the game on my Pentum 133 for the heck of it, just to compare (and yes, it has a 16mb video card). The old computer is just so I can play all those old games I love so much.

Really? How high-end is it?

Well, right now I have a Pentium 3 equivalent (4x AGP), with 1.4 GHz and 512mb ram, as well as a 128mb Geforce 4200 Ti and a Soundblaster Live card. It runs Win98se. But I will be getting a much nicer computer this winter, so once the beta testing is up I should have a 2.4/2.6 Ghz Pentium 4 with a 256mb Geforce 5900 card (maybe), Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum, Windows XP, and 8xAGP on the motherboard. The new computer will also be dual bootable with Linux, so I could probably try the Linux version as well if that ever becomes an option.

You know you could always send me the current version of KQ IX for me to test.  ;D ;D

Hmmmmmm....  :suffer:

Heh. Yeah, I've been with my current computer for about two and a half years, and it's starting to die so I'm getting the best new one I can. Plus I think it'll be interesting to be less dependent on Windows with the half-breed I'm making.

My computer still sucks.  Please make sure that the specs for KQIX aren't -too- high, especially in the RAM department.  I only gots 190mb of RAM :(

I've got the same, and my computer runs 3D games just fine  :D
I mean, if it can handle MOE, it should have no problem with KQ9, right?  ???

Oldbushie

KQ9 should be fine, even though it's 3d I'm guessing it will be less draining on computer resources due to lack of killing.

It should be less draining because of the fixed camera, but wouldn't it be with higher resolution than MOE?

Now, can you get them to tell us?  :P

By the time we get to beta-test, I'll have a new computer too. After all, I'll have to get a new computer by next year, otherwise I won't be able to play any of the games I intend to acquire!

Yeah, that's part of why I'm upgrading too. Plus I like the idea of having Linux as a backup in case WinXP goes screwy on me... and the idea of a 256mb ram graphics card... ;D

Back on topic -
Will we be able to take part in the beta testing, or will it be for team members only? ???
