Major Props to You Folks

Well, let me start by saying I have always been a fan of the King's Quest series (my whole family in fact, we played the games together) and I too, felt the need for true conclusion to the series proper (though I did still like MoE).

I stumbled upon this project since it first popped up on the web and my initial reaction, instead of a fanboy's "omg teh awesome [drools]" was the cynic's "here's another failed project" (I guess I've seen one too many websites, comics, etc. never pan out). Every now and then I get the urge to search around for King's Quest sites online to relive a bit of the adventure, and the next occasion I did, I found the site again and saw that yes, it has failed.

Imagine my surprise a week ago when I, on impulse, visited this site and found that the project was alive and well...and not only that, but bearing fruits! I was shocked, but very glad. If any Internet fan project deserves to be finished it is this.

I know nothing about making games so I cannot offer constructive criticism on the demo content, but I will say this: you people have the most admirable level of dedication.  It makes me actually want to go out and do my ideas of making comics, which I haven't done in a long time.

Well, anyhow, just one more adoring fan lending a word of praise and support...I await the day of final product.

So until Cedric and Connor star in their own sitcom...Make mine Phoenix!!

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. Since you've indicated that it's been while since you really investigated the King's Quest fan community, have you seen the King's Quest III remake that was released in June by our friends at Infamous Adventures. It's been done in the same style as the AGD Interactive remakes of the first two games in the series

It funny how many people have said that they have played KQ with their whole family. Mine is the same! It kinda reminds me of the original disney movies... you never really outgrow them

This is definitely a dedicated group of fans. This project has been through so much that it's pleasing to see that it's getting the recognition it deserves. This game has endured many trials, and has passed them all. There is only one final trial to pass, and that is fan's inevitable reaction of the finished project. It may be far, it may be close, but whenever the game comes out, that one final trial will remain, and it's up to the fans to decide the outcome. We, the fans, are the jury, and The Silver Lining is awaiting it's final judgement, though on good terms. I wish the team the best of luck, and to always strive for what they believe in! This project has shown, that if you believe, you can accomplish anything. All in all, major kudos goes to the TSL team and even it's community for keeping the project alive. The fans are what brought this project to it's current phase, and it's up to us to continue to guide the project further unto the end and beyond.
